  • The daily college routine is manageable. You can choose your Daily routine. If you choose to be in academics and cultural society as well, you are going to be really busy. The studies are not so hectic.
  • Honestly, the quality and method of teaching is not even at par with other universities but the exposure is comparitively high.
  • Experience is very enriching, life is very dynamic and you get to learn a lot if you are willing to.

  • In Hindu college, for a Science student classes start from 8:50 A.M and end by either 3 P.M or 5 P.M depending on the timetable with few breaks.
  • You'll be given 2-3 assignments per semester and the same number of tests in each subject. It will count to your 20 marks out of 25.
  • For each subject marks distribution will be 75(theory) + 25 (internals) + 50 (practical if any) So the remaining 5 marks in 25 will be for your attendance which has to be 80+%.
  • The quality of education is great and it's the number 1 School of Delhi University for Science.
  • You will get the most helpful and friendly teachers. You may get addicted to some teachers and their teaching style too.

  • The faculty members organize special sessions for discussion and problem-solving for the students preparing for various competitive examinations apart from the regular curriculum teaching at Hindu College.

  • The course has 4 subjects every semester and 5 lectures per subject per week. Each lecture is 55 minutes. It also has one laboratory class for all the subjects for about 3 and a half hour. The professors are really great and Hindu College is known for its outstanding chemistry department faculty.
  • The college, not just focuses on academics but also on extra-curricular activities as well. The Chemistry department organizes its annual fest to get the students involved in out-of-the-class learning.

  • There are numerous societies for different interests like photography, western dance, classical music, debate and a lot more. Every another student is a part of one of more societies.
  • The annual cultural fest of the college, Mecca, is the talk of the campus which has been the host to some of the best artists like Vishal-Shekhar, RDB, Papon, Mohit Chauhan and a lot more.
  • The campus life of Hindu promises you a soothing, energetic, learning experience. Hindu was the best thing that happened to me

Hindu college is an esteemed college under the Delhi university. The faculties are very friendly and helpful. There are 130 teaching staffs and 2000 students in every academic year.

Hindu College is recognized as one of the premier academic institutions in the country. It stands tall in public esteem and also in the memories of its alumni, many of whom are now prominent figures in government, business and industry, the media and education. Notwithstanding its name, students from all religions have grown up here and excelled in the chosen areas of their interests, be it academics, sports, or extra-curricular activities. Hindu College was a centre for intellectual and political debate during India’s freedom struggle, especially during the Quit India Movement.

Eligibility Criteria of Hindu College, Delhi University

  • The candidates need to have qualified 12th Board Exams with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology subjects securing at least 55% and more marks in aggregate in three subjects and 50% marks in English as a compulsory language paper.

Admission Procedure of Hindu College, Delhi University

  • Students are required to register online by navigating to the official website of the University of Delhi. University has designed an admission portal to facilitate the common application platform for the students.
  • First-time users have to login by clicking on ‘New User Signup’ option in the new user section.
  • Students should provide the login credentials like e-mail ID, a password with a minimum of six characters & mobile number as part of the registration process.
  • After completion of the registration process, a verification mail will be sent to your e-mail ID. You have to click on the ‘Confirm registration’ link.
  • Now you have to log in again to the UG admission portal by clicking on the ‘Registered User’ link.
  • In the ‘Registered User’ section you have to click on the ‘Apply Now’ tab.

  • Hostels in academic institutions are the epicenter of the dynamics of the campus life.  Spread over a vast area and surrounded by a green cover, encompassing gardens, inside and outside lawns, Hindu College Hostel, for over a half century has been providing fuel and force to the life and motion of College’s liberal democratic academic culture.
  • Hindu College Hostel, with its architectural grandeur and aesthetics, has been an abode to many luminaries in a wonderful kaleidoscope that the time-space spectrum is situated next to the sports complex, the Hostel is a spacious structure with 119 rooms enclosing eight lawns with rose beds and hedges.
  • The Hostel provides residential facilities to about two hundred undergraduate and postgraduate male students.
  • The Common Room provides the residents recreational facilities such as Table-tennis, Carom-board, Chess-board, and a separate TV room apart from the newspapers and magazines to keep them up to date.
