A tie-breaking process is required when multiple candidates score the same marks, in that case the AP POLYCET has some rules which help with the final ranking method of the candidate.

1. The candidates that carry higher marks in Mathematics will be prioritised and given the higher rank.
2. In case the tie still exists between the candidates, the candidate that scored highest in Physics among the other candidates will be given the higher rank.
