The M.Com Programme requires every student to undertake a social based micro project or internship before the commencement of the second semester at an NGO of your choice for a period of 30 hours. I did my NGO internship at Cheshire Homes, Whitefield, Bangalore. I was assigned the role of teaching orphan kid subjects like English and Maths. I also helped the elderly in making paper bags which are sold to the local vegetable vendors and shopkeepers and this adds to the revenue of the home. There is no stipend for NGO internship.
The M.com programme also requires students to undertake an internship at a company for a period of 6 weeks before the commencement of the third semester.
Major Companies hiring from campus are Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, EY
The eligibility criteria was :
Student should have an aggregate marks of 50% or above in undergraduate degree course to apply.
Once application is selected, students are asked to attend interview process in the college campus. Interview process conists of 3 stages:
i. In the first stage, the required documents are verified. The required documents include class X marksheet, class XII marksheet, undergrauate degree course marksheet , address proof like voter card or aadhar card. One set of photocopies of the above mentioned documents are required to be sumitted to the university. In case a student is due to write his/her third year/ final semester examination, he/she can apply by submitting her marksheets of all the previous years/ semesters of his/her undergraduate degree course.
ii. In the second stage of the interview process, the student has to go through a written examination.
iii. In the third stage the student is called for a face to face interview with faculty of the respective department.
The entire interview process takes places within one day. The results of the interview are published within two days.
The main objectives of the M.Com programme at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is to inculcate good teaching skills among students and creation of knowledge through research.
It is a two year programme consisting of 4 semesters.
The course fee per year is Rs. 71,500.
Scholarships of Rs. 10,000 is given to eligible students.
Less than 5% students get scholarship.
Loans are not needed.

Placements & Internships : I find in this M.com programme, there is a huge opportunity to get recruited in big four corporates of finance like KPMG and other companies, this programme not only indulge their students in regular course, but also provides an opportunity to get experience in teaching, and also to get indulge and explore in research on your topics, this quality of programme attracts companies to recruit from M.com.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The college had a minimum cut off of 50% aggregate marks for the course. There was no entrance exam as such, however, they took a personal interview. 50% aggregate marks in BCom, BBM or BBA
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria are B.com graduation certificate, an online form to be submitted, an interview and written test in Bangalore.
