The college has good jobsand internship oppurtunites. This year around 69 recruiters have visited the campus. Average salary on campus has grown from 6.29 Lacs Per Annum to 6.65 Lacs Per Annum this year. Highest national offer is 20.50 lacs per annum where the highest international offer is of US $ 1.09 Lacs per annum. The Alumni of BIT Mesra, and its associated Campuses, a diverse assemblage of over 25000 engineers, scientists, managers, academicians and entrepreneurs , represent a very significant group of professionals, contributing effectively in their chosen areas of activity. The Institute is proud of this group, of which more than 11,000 have registered. The Alumni Relations Group further supported by the Students Alumni Relations Cell (SARC) has the responsibility of effectively communicating with alumni/ groups as well as extending facilities and services to BIT alumni with a view to effectively retain the bond with the Institute.

The infrastructure is the one of the key features of the college. The quality of classrooms and labs are up to mark but resemble a bit of ancient consturction since the college was established in 1950's. The computer laboratory is equipped with 167 PCs, servers, necessary hardware and software along with 2 MBPS broadband Internet connectivity that helps students in their academics. The laboratory is modern and conforms to all norms set by regulatory bodies. The Institute has a well-stocked Library with a collection of books and journals, which caters to the needs of the undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars and the faculty. The dispensary is served by two doctors and paramedical staff and at present has eight beds for indoor treatment. Other facilities at the dispensary include:1.Outdoor - Indoor Service, 2.Pathological Tests, 3.E. C. G., 4.X-Ray, 5.Immunization. Emergency cases, which require super specialist or Intensive care treatment, are referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi or Apollo Hospital Erba, Ranchi.

A branch of UCO Bank and that of SBI is situated within the campus with a facility to BIT students and staff members for maintaining saving account.

The Canteen is the most happening place in the campus. It is also the hub for all campus discussions as students flock there together to share a meal and exchange views or pass on the latest news at the campus.

         Other facilities include good transport, Post office, sports complex, etc. but lacks full-campus wi-fi facility though there is good LAN connection in the hostels.

Academic Schedule isappreciable. Regular classes are at good frequency. The test and assignments are up to mark. Projects depend totally on student's interest (except for the final year project, which is a compulsion). There is enough accessibilty of the resources and enough professor's support. Quality of teaching is fine, neither too good nor too bad. The courses available in the college are plenty. At the Institute, a lot of learning takes place outside classrooms and laboratories and that is why the entire campus experience is something that every BIT-ian cherishes.

Students Clubs and Societies constitute the core of BIT's campus experience and reflect the quality of excellence outside academic spheres. They serve as common forums to share and promote resources in diverse areas of interest. Student activity hubs enhance learning by developing valuable personality traits and skills that aid their classroom training. While some bodies provide a strong platform to budding professionals for applying their classroom learning, others are vehicles for showcasing talent and connecting like-minded people.

In addition to day-to-day events, BIT also holds annual fests on an extravagant scale that are very famous and popular with contemporary fest-hopping crowds.

BIT campus life accommodates a prolific range of co-curricular activities as part of its daily routine. Apart from ensuring the physical well being of students, it is also essentially a way of life for BIT-ians and helps them come together on numerous occasions in a spirit of healthy rivalry and true sportsmanship. Whether it is a casual face-off between friends, intra-college championships or inter-college tournaments organised on a grand scale, students of BIT have proved their worth in the field of sports time and again. The Department of Physical Education and sports regularly organises training camps and courses and is well equipped with appropriate facilities.
