UPPSC eligibility criteria 2024 is decided by the conducting body of the exam. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university or equivalent qualification. There are also some specific requirements for the posts in the UPPSC 2024 Exam which are explained in this article.

Eligibility Based on Age Limit

Candidates age should be between 21 years to 40 years. i.e. they must not have been born earlier than July 2, 1978, and not later than July 1, 1997. Candidates who belong to PH category for them maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must not have been born before 02nd July 1963. Age Relaxation is applicable as per the government rules, details are given below:-

Educational Qualification

Dental Surgeon: Candidates must have a B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from a government-recognized University/ Institution or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Indian Dental Council and Registration in the Dental Council of U.P.

Lecturer/Asst. Professor: The criteria for the following posts are given:

Lect./Asst. Professor (Gastro Enterology): As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have D.M. (Gastro Enterology) or an equivalent qualification.

  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Cardiology): As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have D.M. (Cardiology) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Nephrology): As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have D.M. (Nephrology) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Thoracic Surgery): As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.Ch. (Thoracic Surgery) or an equivalent.
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Neuro Surgery): As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.Ch. (Neuro Surgery) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Plastic Surgery): As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.Ch. (Plastic Reconstructive Surgery)/ M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Skin and V.D.): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D. (Skin and V.D.) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Radiodiagnosis): (i) As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D. (Radiodiagnosis)/M.D.(Radiology)/M.S. (Radiology) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Radio Therapy): (i) As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D. (Radio-Therapy)/M.D. (Radiology)/M.S. (Radiology) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation: (i) As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have an M.D.(P.M.R.)/M.S. (Orthopedics) with two years of special training in the speciality of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Medicine)/M.D.(Medicine) with Diploma in P.M.R./M.S.(General Surgery) or two years of equivalent teaching approved in the subject in any approved institution of India or equivalent qualification. (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (General Medicine): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D.(Medicine)/M.D.(General Medicine) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Forensic Medicine): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D.(Forensic Medicine) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Epidemiologist Cum Lecturer): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D.(S.P.M.) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Human Metabolism): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D.(Endocrinology) or M.D. (Medicine)/M.D.(Paed.) with two years special training in Endocrinology or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Psychiatry): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have M.D. (Psychiatry)/M.D. (Psychological Med.)/M.D. in Medicine with Diploma in Psychological Med. or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor Blood Bank (immunology haematology & blood transfusion: (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidate should have D.M.(immunology) or M.D.(Pathology or bacteriology or haematology) with two years of teaching experience or special training in the department of immunology haematology & blood transfusion/ M.D. (immunology haematology & blood transfusion) an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Physicist): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.Sc.Physics and electronics with a diploma in radiation Physics from Bhabha electronics research centre and PhD degree or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years as Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Anesthesiology): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.D.(Anesthesiology)/M.S.(Anesthesiology) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject. 
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Anatomy): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.S. (Anatomy)/M.D.(Anatomy)/M.B.B.S. with M.Sc.(Anatomy)/M.Sc.(Med. Biochemistry) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject.
  • Lect./Asst. Professor (Microbiology): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.D. (Bacteriology)/M.D. (Microbiology)/M.B.B.S. with M.Sc. (Med. Bacteriology)/M.Sc. (Med. Microbiology) with PhD (Med.Bacteriology)/M.Sc. (Med. Bact.) with PhD (Med.Bacteriology)/M.Sc. (Med. Bacteriology) with D.Sc. (Med. Bacteriology)/M.Sc. (Med.   • Lect./Asst. Professor (Pharmacology): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.D. (Pharmacology)/M.B.B.S. with PhD (Med. Pharmacology)/M.Sc.(Med. Pharmacology) with PhD (Med. Pharmacology)/M.Sc. (Med. Pharmacology) with D.Sc. (Med. Pharmacology) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years as Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject.
  • Lect./Asst.Professor (Physiology): (i)As recognized by the Medical Council of India candidates should have M.D.(Physiology)/M.B.B.S. with M.Sc.(Physiology)/M.Sc. (Med. Physiology) with PhD (Med. Physiology)/M.Sc. (Med. Physiology) with D.Sc. (Med. Physiology) or an equivalent qualification, (ii) Three years as Junior Resident and one year as Senior Resident in a recognized Medical College in the concerned Subject.

Professor Organon of Medicine: A recognized diploma or a degree in Homoeopathy (BHMS) Or a qualification included in the III Schedule of Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973. Ten years of teaching experience including three years of teaching experience in the concerned subject as a Reader Or Associate Professor in a recognized Homoeopathic Medical College.

Reader Repertory: A recognized diploma or a degree in Homeopathy Or a qualification included in the III Schedule of the Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973, Seven years teaching experience including Four years teaching experience as a Lecturer in the concerned subject in a recognized Homeopathic Medical College.

Reader Homoeopathy Pharmacy: A recognized diploma or a degree in Homeopathy Or A qualification included in the III Schedule of the Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973. Seven years of teaching experience including Four years teaching experience as Lecturer in the concerned subject in a recognized Homeopathic Medical College.

Lecturer Anatomy: A recognized Diploma or a Degree in Homoeopathy or a degree recognized by the Medical Council of India preferably with qualification included in the III Schedule of Homoeopathic Central Council Act, 1973. Three years of experience in a recognized Homoeopathic or Allopathic Medical College.

Lecturer Kulliyat: (i) Five years Degree in Unani from a University established by law or the Board of Indian Medicine, Uttar Pradesh, or any other State Board or Faculty which is registrable under the United Provinces Indian Medicine Act, 1939. (ii) Post Graduate qualification of the subject from a recognized Institution. (iii) Adequate knowledge of Hindi, English, and Urdu or Arabic, or Persian.

UPPSC 2024 Eligibility Criteria - Engineering Lecturer/Principal Posts

Eligibility Based on Educational Qualification

Principal (for Polytechnic Institutes): (i) First Class degree in Engineering or Technology and 10 years experience of teaching on the post of Head of department or Lecturer or on Senior Managerial Post in any Government Institution, Public Sector Undertaking or Limited Company. Three years of relaxation in experience for M.E./M.Tech Degree holders, (ii) Knowledge of Hindi.

Lecturer in Engineering Branch: (i) Degree with 55 per cent marks in the respective discipline of Engineering/Technology or A.M.I.E. (India). (ii) Knowledge of Hindi. 

Lecturer in Non-Engineering Branch: (i) Second Class Master Degree with at least 55 per cent marks. (ii) Knowledge of Hindi.
