What is UPPSC?
UPPSC stands for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. UPPSC Allahabad is the state agency that conducts the Civil Service Exams for Entry-level Appointments to various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh. It has its headquarters located at 10, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The UPPSC 2020 Exam is conducted for enrollment of suitable candidates to the posts of Assistant Professors, Medical Lecturers, Civil services of Uttar Pradesh.

UPPSC UPPCS 2020 Notification
The official notification will contain important information like the number of vacancies available, the eligibility criteria, the physical qualification required, syllabus, exam pattern, and all the important dates related to the exam. Hence, the candidates have to go through the notification and make sure that they satisfy all the criteria before applying for the exam.
- The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will release the notification on October 1, 2020.
- The last date of the deposition of the Admission fee in the bank will be October 29, 2020. This fee will take a few days to get processed. After this date, the candidates will not be able to complete the form.
- The last date to submit the online applications was June 4, 2020. The candidates who choose the online method to pay the application fee will get the transaction receipt immediately and they can download the application at the same time.

The dates relevant to UPPSC UPPCS 2020 exam are given below. The candidates must note that these dates are tentative and may be changed by the conducting authority, keeping in mind the rising cases of COVID-19 across the country. UPPSC PCS 2020 Eligibility
The UPPSC which conducts UPPCS 2020 Exam is also the deciding authority, that decides and releases the eligibility criteria. The candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria with qualifications for the post that you wanted to appear for, before starting to apply.
- Educational Qualification: The candidates should have completed Bachelor's Degree in relevant trade and for teacher/ lecturer posts an additional B.Ed degree is required. Master's degree in relevant trade is an added bonus.
- Age Limit: The age of aspiring candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 40 years as on July 1, 2020. (varies for each post).
- Age Relaxation: For candidates belonging to SC/ ST is 5 Years. For candidates belonging to OBC, it is 3 years and for candidates belonging to PwD it is 15 years

UPPSC 2020 Preliminary Exam
- The UPPSC 2020 preliminary exam is an objective type examination. It is mandatory to appear for both the papers. Marks obtained in Paper-1 will be considered in the merit list whereas Paper-2 will be qualifying in nature. Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 33% in paper-2 in order to be eligible to attend the next round of the examination process.

UPPSC 2020 Mains Exam
- The UPPSC 2020 Mains exam is a descriptive type exam and it has 2 optional papers and 6 compulsory papers. The papers include General Hindi, Essay, General Studies-I, General Studies-II, General Studies-III, General Studies-IV, Optional subject-I, and Optional subject-II. All the papers will have a duration of 3 hours(180 mins). General Hindi and Essay papers will have maximum marks of 150 and all other papers will be for 200 marks.

- Shortlisted candidates who have cleared the Preliminary Exam and Main Exam will be called for the Face to Face Interview process. It will be a viva-voice for 100 marks. It is aimed at accessing the general awareness, intelligence, and personality of the candidate.

UPPSC 2020 Document Upload

How to change the UPPSC 2020 Exam Centre?
Due to COVID-19, the UPPSC 2020 Prelim exam will be conducted on October 11, 2020, which is why the commission has provided a window to change the exam centres from September 1, 2020, to September 10, 2020.
Candidates can follow the below steps to change their exam centres if necessary:
- Step 1: Go to the official UPPSC website.

Ans. Yes, engineering graduates are eligible for the exam. But they can’t apply for the posts RO/ARO. With the score of the RO/ARO exam, they can apply for the post of inspector legal measurement in the weight & measurement department of the UP State Govt.

Ans. No, it depends on the candidate. Joining coaching in a metropolitan city is not always highly needed for all candidates. One need not be convent-educated to crack any competitive examinations but the candidate must have:
- Good command over the optional subject is a must.
- Good knowledge of General Studies (above average).
- The habit to read the newspaper regularly.
- The capability to be able to link the static portion with the current affairs portion.
- Rigorous preparation of nearly 8-9 hours daily will be required to crack the exam.
