OUAT Counselling 2024: Dates, Steps to Register

OUAT counselling 2024 for UG programs will commence in Aug 2024. Candidates must carry original documents and rank card copy to the Univeristy during admission process. 

In addition, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology has announced admission schedules for PG programmes. The admission for M.Sc (non-reserved category) will complete on Dec 2024 for M.Sc (reserved category) admission will take place on Dec 2024, while for M.Tech/M.F.Sc programmes the admission will be conducted on Dec 2024.

Candidates that have qualified for the exam can participate in the OUAT counselling process. Candidates can start their OUAT counselling registration at ouat.nic.in.

OUAT Counselling Dates 2024

OUAT counselling process for UG programs will take place from Aug 2024 on the official webpage ouat.nic.in. The OUAT counselling 2024 process is conducted on different dates based on the categories and ranks of the qualified candidates, at specific times allotted to them. 

OUAT Counselling Process 2024

Counselling process for OUAT 2024 registration will be conducted by the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, for its university-level examination. There will be 3 rounds of OUAT seat allotment taking place with a final round, depending on the vacancy of seats in the counselling process.

In order to participate in the OUAT entrance exam counselling procedure, aspirants must complete the following steps:

• Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of OUAT and register online ouat.nic.in.
• Step 2: Select a program and pay the OUAT counselling fee.
• Step 3: Secure the OUAT seats.
• Step 4: Temporary OUAT Seat Allotment Round 1.
• Step 5: Verification of documents/certificates and payment of fees at the Nodal Centre based on round 1 seat allocation.
• Step 6: Temporary OUAT Seat Allotment Round 2
• Step 7: Verification of documents/certificates and payment of fees at the Nodal Centre based on round 2 seat allocation.
• Step 8: Aspirants withdraw their seats.
• Step 9: Final OUAT seat allocation and auto-upgradation.
• Step 10: Report to the designated institute for admission.

OUAT Counselling 2024 Criteria

Candidates are called for OUAT counselling based on their merits and ranks scored through the qualifying exam. The weightage of marks is considered along with other factors to determine the OUAT 2024 merit list. The merit list is prepared based on the consideration given to the marks scored in OUAT 2024.

OUAT 2024 Counselling Fee

The following table brings the OUAT counselling fee. When attending OUAT counselling, aspirants must bring a Demand Draught from any nationalised bank made payable to the Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. OUAT counselling fee can also be paid using SBI Collect, which is accessible via net banking.

• Certificate towards the discontinuation of study in the specified format
• Residential certificate (Except for students who studied Odia as a subject in 10th standard from any school/Institution in Odisha
• Permanent Residential Certificate for Western Odisha
• Certificate of Medical Fitness for Admission into B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry Course
• Bonafide Certificate issued by Rajya Sainik Board, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar-2 to claim Armed Forces Personnel quota
• Domicile certificate from the District Magistrate, Govt. of J&K to claim under Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) quota for students of J&K
• Certificate from the competent authority for being a migrant of Kashmir to claim under the Kashmiri Migrant quota
• Aadhaar Card
• Permission Letter from the employer in case of the in-service candidate.
• Relief order from the employer in case of State Govt. of Odisha Sponsored candidate.
• 5 passport-size photographs as uploaded in Form-A.

OUAT 2024 Selection Procedure

Candidates must complete the online Form B on the website ouat.nic.in. Candidates must begin this process as soon as the results or merit list are announced. Candidates must upload the required documents on or before the closing date when filling out Form B. Candidates must provide a printout of the completed Form B, as well as original and self-attested photocopies of all essential documents. 

Admission will be granted only on the basis of the candidate's academic record and performance in the entrance exam. The admission board cancels candidates' candidatures if they fail to show the original documentation.

OUAT Seat Reservation

Candidates who fall under the following categories will be eligible to take up the reserved seats at OUAT counselling 2024.

OUAT Counselling 2024 Points

Some of the key points related to the OUAT counselling 2024 are provided below for the candidates.

• Forestry candidates will have to undergo a physical fitness test a day before the OUAT counselling 2024 dates.
• The merit list is based on the above criteria. Candidates will receive admission to the university based on their performance only.
• The first round of allotment will be given to higher-scoring candidates. The reserved seats will be given to applicable candidates.
• For the second round, OUAT counselling 2024 cutoff will be released based on which the admission will be done and so on.
• Candidates whose rank is under the cut-off will be given the third allotment round.
• OUAT spot counselling notice will be given upon vacancy of seats. The same rules apply to OUAT BSc forestry spot counselling.
