The Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (Earlier known as, National Institute of Management Calcutta) was founded on 28 July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. Located at Alipore, in the heart of the ‘City of Joy’ the institute has an eco-friendly campus.
AIMK also holds NAAC (The National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Accreditation and it has Certification by ISO 9001: 2015. AIMK Admission includes two-year full-time residential MBA programme with 120 students per batch from which 80% (96) seats are for Army wards and 20% (24) seats are for General category.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission process is very simple, You can apply for the college by appearing in CAT exam and the cut off is around 60+ and special consideration for army wards.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The Eligibility criteria for admission is that you should be graduated/graduating with at least 50% aggregate. You should take the CAT exam as the admissions are through CAT score only. The application process starts in December . You have to fill up a form and send it by a draft. After that, you get call for GD/PI on merit basis. I took CAT exam for admission. 60 percentile in CAT is the least you need to secure admission.

Academics & Faculty : AIT offers the following four engineering courses: Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. All four courses are approved and accredited by both the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
