North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), a Central University, caters to the desires of the northeastern states of India. North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU)was set up by an Act of parliament on 26th May 1973 with its headquarters at Shillong overlaying northeast states and Union Territories. NEHU unfolded over the complete state of Meghalaya. CUET UG scores are used to determine admission to NEHU undergraduate courses. Candidates who took the NEHU entrance exam can access and print their scorecards by visiting the official website.

NEHU has two educational campuses, one at Mawkynroh-Umshing, Shillong, and another one at Chandmari, Tura. The campus at Shillong is the head of educational and administrative functions. The primary campus is spread over 1225 acres. NEHU incorporates the National Council of Science Museums, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Indian Council of Social Science Research, Sports Authority of India and The English and Foreign Languages University.

NEHU Academic Advantages

• NEHU has set up approximately 28 departments and four centers of research under its six schools/faculties and an undergraduate college.

NEHU Admission

NEHU admission 2022-23 is open. NEHU Shillong admission season normally starts in May each year. NEHU gives more than 30-degree programs in diverse fields of Engineering, Management, Commerce, Sciences, Arts, etc. Admission to NEHU undergraduate courses is based on CUET UG scores. The admission process of those courses at NEHU are highlighted below.

• B.Tech admission is primarily based on the applicant's performance in JEE Main. 
• B.Arch admission is primarily based on the NATA score. 
• MBA admission primarily based on an applicant's score in MAT accompanied by university-level GD and PI round. 
• For M.Tech admission, the applicant's GATE score is considered. 
• Candidates need to appear for an entrance test carried out by the University for admission to BA LLB (Hons) program. 
• Admission to remaining UG and PG courses is primarily based on the merit of the preceding qualifying exam.

NEHU Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed class 12th with at least 45% marks with PCM.
• The candidate should have qualified in JEE Main/CUET PG scores.

MA Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have a graduation degree with at least 55% aggregate marks.

M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have a graduation degree with at least 55% aggregate marks.

NEHU Cutoff

NEHU Cutoff 2022 is not out yet. NEHU declares the cutoff and also merit list for diverse courses so that scholars take admission in UG & PG programs. NEHU Shillong decides the cutoff on the idea of the number of reserved seats and the candidate who appeared in the examination.

NEHU Result

NEHU result 2022 has been released online on its official website. Students not happy with the marks secured in the examination can apply for the Revaluation of the answer script within 30 days from the date of announcement of the results. A minimum of 15% marks on a paper is required to apply for re-evaluation.

NEHU Infrastructure 

NEHU Library, which began out with a set of six hundred books in 1973, is now a most desirable university library of the North-Eastern Region of India with a set of over 2. 9 lakh volumes of books and certain periodicals supplemented by the huge information resources. The NEHU Central Library is geared up with high-end computer systems and other digital and audio-visual equipment to offer seamless in-house and online services.

NEHU has a total of twenty-two hostels to house college students.All hostels offer mess facilities and well-equipped rooms. The University additionally offers a hostel facility for International college students. There is a medical centre inside the hostel to help college students in case of medical emergencies. Classrooms in this university are nicely geared up with benches for sitting arrangement, e-board for higher understanding and learning. NEHU also has two health centers in Shillong.

NEHU Placements

NEHU Placement 2022 report is not out yet. Based on the NEHU placement notice posted on the official website, a total of ten students were placed through the recruitment process at NEHU campus for the academic year 2021-22. NEHU has a counseling and placement cell that works on getting the industry's first-class corporations to come to the university for recruitments. NEHU has a placement percentage of 50%. The NEHU placement cell is liable for carrying out practice interviews, aptitude sessions, workshops, and seminars. NEHU Scholarships

NEHU Shillong usually gives two kinds of scholarship schemes to economically backward as well as meritorious students. These scholarships are JRF Scholarship Scheme and Financial Assistance Scheme. NEHU provides Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) for men aged 35 and up, and 45 years for women who pass the National Eligibility Test (NET). NEHU provides financial assistance to deserving students through the 'Students Aid Fund' for tuition, examination, hostel fees, and other expenses.

NEHU Collaboration

NEHU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Regional Training Institute (Indian Audit and Accounts) Shillong at the NEHU permanent campus in the presence of Prof. P. S. Shukla, Vice Chancellor of NEHU, Shri. Athikho Chalai, Director General of RTI Shillong, and officials from both organisations on March 22, 2022. The signing of the MOU was followed by a "Consultative Workshop on Local Government Accounting" organised by the NEHU Department of Economics.

NEHU Faculty

NEHU has 400+ faculty members. NEHU faculty members have extensive teaching and research experience. In each class, they teach using PowerPoint presentations. Practicals are not held during the first few months of each semester. NEHU faculty teach a decent number of classes per week, ranging from 4 to 7 per teacher per week.
