The University provides the following scholarships:

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for men up to 35 and 45 years for women who qualify National Eligibility Test (NET)
Scholarships for meritorious passed out students who have Honors in their degree examinations and have secured a minimum of 55% marks and are currently pursuing Postgraduate studies
Financial assistance to poor and deserving students is provided at NEHU under ‘Students Aid Fund’ for payment of tuition, examination, hostel fees and other expenses
