  • Daily routine in GCE is simple not too hectic.
  • College timings are from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Extra lectures are conducted if needed.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

Many student clubs have been formed for overall growth of students.

We have Technical, Non-Technical and Cultural events every year in Government College of Engineering.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
  • our college starts from 10:30 am and ends at 5:30 pm. Each lecture is of 1 hr. exams are held at sem end but we have mid term exams also. Assignmets are given for each and every subjects.
  • Quality of teaching is good and some teachers prefers video lecture while some prefer blackboard teaching.
  • Experience is good but as this is a small place hence we dont get exposure to lot of things. 

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
  • We have a lot of club like cultural club ,green khatta(cleanliness club), quest (trekking club),robo club, brainstromer (for puzzles) etc etc.
  • Main festival celebrated in our college is ganesh chaturthi,rangpanchmi.
  • Life in college is boring. The atmoshphere is mainly of studies. There is not much scope for other things.

The college timings is from 10:30 am - 5:00 pm. Teaching quality is also good but need to improve. My experience is so good in my college.

There are so many clubs in college made by our college students. Avishkar is one of the main festival celebrated in our college. My life is so good in our college.

For the electrical department, the staff is good. If you have interest, you can learn many new things. Some of the teachers teach excellent.

There was an ESSA club which was run by electrical students. ESSA performs electrical events in college.

About Government College of Engineering, [GCE] Karad

The Government of Maharashtra with the aim and vision to spread Technical Education in rural and tribal areas of the state of Maharashtra founded Government College Of Engineering, Karad in 1960.The College is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and is acting as a vital education center for many years. Over the years the college has produced about 7200 engineers and more than 300 computer professionals through Master of Computer Application course which is unique in Engineering faculty under Shivaji University. Along with the degree courses in Civil,Machanical, Electrical and Information Technology, the college also offers PG programs in different specializations in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Facilities in the college include :

Hostel

The Institution provides facilities for hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. The hostels are spacious, safe and secured with a cordial environment and surrounded by pleasant landscapes. A hygienic kitchen has been provided in each hostel with large dining halls. The rooms are well furnished. college has ladies hostels and boys hostel.Both the hostels have round the clock Wi-Fi connectivity and medical facility. Proper hygienic condition and strict supervision is maintained
