Lady Hardinge Medical College was set up in the year 1916. The hospital and college were formally initiated in this year under the direction of Lord Hardinge. In the year 1950, the institute got affiliated to the University of Delhi and the postgraduate courses were initiated in 1954. In 1956, the Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital was built along with the college. The institution's management was taken over by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 1978. Since then, the college has been providing high-quality education to students across the country.
Interested candidates who want to join MBBS course must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects with a minimum of 50% marks.

Lady Hardinge Medical College offers MBBS and BDS courses at UG level and various PG Diploma, MD, MS, M.Sc. and M.Ch. at PG level. All the courses are recognized by the Medical Council of India.
LHMC offers MBBS and BDS courses at UG level. The minimum eligibility criteria are 10+2 from a recognized board in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry subjects with 50% aggregate (40% in case of reserved categories). Admission is done on the basis of rank/score in NEET UG followed by a counselling process.

Applicants desiring admission into PG Diploma, MD and MS courses, should be MBBS Graduates and must have qualified NEET PG for admission. Candidates who possess MD/MS/DNB)/ Provisional Pass Certificate or an equivalent recognized qualification are eligible for admission in M.Ch. and admission will be based on rank/score in NEET SS.
