UGC NET Date Sheet 2024 (June 10-21): Complete Schedule

The UGC NET date sheet 2024 for the June session will be released on the official website. The NTA will conduct the UGC NET exams between June 10 to 21, 2024. The candidates can apply online for the UGC NET exam by registering on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Last year the UGC NET December 2023 exam was conducted from Dec 6 to Dec 22, 2023. 

National Testing Agency (NTA) organises the UGC NET exam twice a year on behalf of the University Grants Commission. Candidates who wish to get appointed as Assistant Professor/Junior Research Fellow in Indian universities/colleges appear for this exam.

UGC NET Exam Events 2024

• UGC NET Notification: NTA will release the official notification for UGC NET 2024 in PDF form. It includes all the exam-related details like eligibility criteria, exam patterns, test centers, and more.
• UGC NET Application Form: The authorities will release the UGC NET 2024 application form along with the official notification. Those who want to take the test can fill out the applications and submit them online.
• UGC NET Admit Card: The hall ticket for UGC NET 2024 will be published on the official website of NTA. Candidates will have to log into their registered accounts to download their admit cards.
• UGC NET Exam Date: NTA will announce the exam date for the UGC NET through an official notification. The exam is conducted online on the basis of the exam pattern and syllabus of UGC NET 2024.
• UGC NET Answer Key: After the conduction of the UGC NET exam 2024, NTA publishes the provisional answer key. The candidates will get an opportunity to challenge the provisional UGC NET 2024 answer key. Post analysing the objections received, NTA will release the final answer key for UGC NET 2024. 
• UGC NET Result: Finally, the result is declared on the official website. In order to check their UGC NET results, candidates must enter their application number and date of birth. NTA announces the results according to the final answer key and the normalisation of scores.

UGC NET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to take the exam must check the UGC NET eligibility criteria before applying for it. This section discusses the eligibility criteria for UGC NET 2024, which mainly involves age limit criteria and academic qualifications.

Age Limit Criteria 

Applicants must be below the age of 31 as of March 1, 2024, in order to apply. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, as well as women, get a relaxation of 5 years. Moreover, there is a 3-year age relaxation for applicants holding an LLM degree.

Educational Qualification 

Here are the educational qualification criteria to apply for UGC NET/JRF exam.

• Applicants should have obtained 55% in their PG degree to sit for the UGC NET exam.
• Those appearing for the final semester/year of post-graduation are also eligible to apply.
