Chandigarh University is a place where the students are offered 100% placement opportunities. Well reputed companies like Google, Wipro, Amazon, Mahindra and many more visit the campus for recruitment. The students are well trained for interviews in advance with special social and technical skills.

Chandigarh University is a completely Wifi connected campus. There is a 2 boys hostel (NC and LC) and a 2 girls hostel (Tagore and Sukhna) inside the campus. Apart from these, the university also has one boys and girls hostel outside the campus. The hostels are well maintained, wifi connected and gives the home away from home to the students.

The hotel mess provides the best quality heathy meal adding variety of food items from the north as well as South Indian cuisine. Apart from these, the campus also has a variety of shops installed like the Subway, Dominos and many more. The classrooms are well maintained and each has a smart class or projector for giving the students a visual treat of their subjects. We have well stacked libraries which are updated each year along with an e-library with 1000s e-books to help students get extra references.

The eligibility to apply for BSc Non Medical is that one must have taken PCM or PCMB in 12th grade and should have an aggregate of 60%. The admissions are based on either 12th grade merit or JEE-MAIN results. Starting from the year 2020 the admissions are also dependent on the entrance exam conducted by Chandigarh University ie the CUCET. The exam is solely based on the 11th and 12th grade syllabus.

The class timings are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. However depending on the students’ interest in research and other projects, they are given time out of the normal class schedule to work on their particular research works and patents. The quality of teaching is top.

The faculty covers every nook and corner of the syllabus along with special considerations for topics important to various other competitive exams the study might have to face in the future. The whole syllabus of a semester is divided into 3 units and an internal conducted after each unit makes studies systematic and less of burden at the end of semester.

Chandigarh University, [CU] Chandigarh Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 24,000 per semester. The university offers a variety of scholarships based on merit as well as sports quotas. On sports quotas one can even get a 100% scholarship. For merit based it’s 50% for 90 and above scores and 20% for 80 and above scores.

Each department has their own departmental clubs like the Raman club for the physics department. The students are also members of the very well known American Chemical Society. Other than these we also have clubs for extra curricular activities like dance, music, drama, modelling and so on. The main festivals celebrated at the Campus are Lohri and Holi.

We also have a variety of sports events for American football, basketball and cricket along with athletic meets. The CU fest is the main attraction of the year. The students get an opportunity to stage their talents and win amazing prizes. The fest is ignited by the presence of Bollywood celebrities and end with an energetic DJ night by the Sunburn campus. Overall life at Chandigarh University is great fun.
