Placements and Internships

4.5

The university is involved with the companies like IT, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing, Sales that hire students from the campus. One of my friend from Btech cse got hired in ibm with a package of 12 lakhs per year. So, I recommend others this university to get placed in the field of their interest.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

There are 5 girls hostel and around 6-7 boys hostel. Hostel fee is around 84,000 for four-seater room with almirah, shelf, 2 fans and a cooler. Beside the hostels, there are also PGs outside and near the university with very low and affordable cost. The quality of classrooms is also good with projectors in every classroom. We have practical labs according to the course, with library in every block and a central library in block 1 . Hostellers and outsiders can eat in mess of hostels and they provide good quality food. Moreover, Wi-Fi facility is also provided in campus and hostels.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

The timings of classes are according to the syllabus of the semester. But the general timing of starting and closing the university is from 9:30am to 4:45pm. There are 3 assignments for each semester and also some projects with it. Exams are conducted in a very fair manner. The way of teaching of teachers is very good and the teachers are really very helpful. Overall, the 2 years , I have spent in this university can never be easy without such helpful teachers.

Fees and Scholarships

4

Chandigarh University, [CU] Chandigarh Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 30,000 per semester.

I pursue bsc non medical and I am now in the last year of my graduation.  Students can also get admitted on the basis of scholarship. Also, they can get loan on study to continue their course with ease.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

So, for students there are many student societies , clubs and associations in campus. Out of which DSW is the main society . The students can seek help for anything here with just a simple application. I myself is a member of DSW and quiz society which organize the events regarding management, tech fests, sports and cultural. The main fests of university are CU fest , tech fests youth fest etc. Moreover, the college life is very enjoyable here.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission forms are available online as well as offline. After the forms are filled, student is asked to come for counselling and I must say that the way the teachers (counsellors) deal is commendable. They answer each and every query of the students and the students may get demos of classroom and hostel in case they wish to. There was no entrance test for my course but advantages like 50% concessions (in academic fee) are given to students getting above 90%. If the student manages to maintain 9 above CGPA, the scholarship criteria hold.
