College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The campus of Birla Institute of Technology is around of 800 acres and is quite lush green.
- The building are large and beautiful and well-equipped.
- Quality of classrooms is good although not that moder. LAN is provided for interent connection. Campus has a large library with almost very book required by the students for the course. Public as well as personal transport is available within the campus.
Academics and Faculty
- We have a maximum of 30 classes per subject spreaded over 4-5 months.
- I am planning on doin a project under my professor this summer based on compiler designing. We have two test in our semester. One is mid-term and another is end-sem. Few marks are assigned over attendance and class tests or assignments. The quality and methodology of teaching is good.
Clubs and Associations
- There are a lot of clubs at Birla Institute of Technology related to varios technical fields as well as artistic fields. E.g. dramsoc for drama promotion, literary society for literature stuffs, leo and dance clubs.
- Robolution is related to robot development and stuffs while ACM is associated with coding.

Admisssion in BIT Mesra for various undergraduate courses are given on the basis of AIR in JEE Main through CSAB. There is also an NRI quota. The typical cutoff rank in JEE-Main for CSE course in BIT Mesra is under 8000 and for all other courses is under 20000.
