Placements and Internships
- In every stream and department there is plenty of internship placement oppurtunities.
- Rs 5 LPA to Rs 25 LPA on an average salary expected in computer science stream for undergraduates with better coding skills and pointers(snapdeal,amazon, microsoft,dell, freecharge) some of them.
- Alumni network is big and quite helpful.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- All Students have to stay in Hostel and total of 9 hall of residence are there total of around 5000 students stay in these hostels.
- Food one might find issue here and there but all in all no worries.
- Really good infrastructure one can find at all IITs.
Academics and Faculty
- Daily routine- Class timings usually starts at 8:00 am daily, through out academic year. There used to be continous evalutation of students knowledge through a pattern of daily assignments, semester projects, mid semester and end semester where students will always trying to learn something daily effectively.
- Quality of Teaching- Professors are of quite knowledged they will help in every single issue.
- Education wise institute is of one of top quality with motive of students success in education.
Fees and Scholarships
- In and around course fee is Rs Rs 140000 per year, for Post graduate if you clear gate mhrd offers Rs 12400 per year and for undergradutes eligible students who are having good academic record they provide scholarships,Based on pointers candidate number depends.
- Easily one can get loans from college through all nationalised banks, no issue of loans.
Clubs and Associations
- Through out entire a lot of activites always happens in campus, NIT campus is known for Techfests, all in all atleast 5 techfests, institute divided in to plenty of clubs where undergraduates actively participate.
- Life at NIT Rourkela you cant forget, Memorable years of life.

Academics & Faculty : Class timings in Nit Rourkela is very strict. It starts with early morning for engineering students (8:00)am regularly and every one needs to attend the class you cant bunk because of the strict rules.
