UID Design Aptitude Test is a national level entrance test conducted by the UnitedWorld Institute of Design (UID) affiliated to Karnavati University for admission into Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des). UID Design 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Education for B.Des (Regular/GDP/Integrated Masters): For students seeking admission for undergraduate courses, passing 10+2 or equivalent, from a recognized university/ board, with a minimum of 50% marks along with clearing the two tier evaluation process for UID DAT.
Education for M.Des: Students seeking admission for PG courses must have passed a bachelor's degree or equivalent (10+2+3/ 4), in the relative area of studies as mentioned in each specialized subject, from a recognized university of India with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate along with clearing UID's two tier evaluation process.

The UID Design Aptitude Test contains two tiers in the selection process - tier 1 is Design Aptitude test and tier 2 is the Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE).

UID Design 2023 Counselling
UID Design Aptitude Test is the first step of the admission process and is considered as tier I of the selection process. After the exam, the shortlisted candidates are called for tier II of the selection/ admission process which is the situation test and portfolion evaluation.
Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE): After the release of the result online, qualified students will be called for the situation test and portfolio evaluation, at the UID - Karnavati University campus in Gandhinagar. It is mandatory for all the qualified students to attend ST and PE to seek admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UID. The SI and PE consists of the following.
- Material Exploration & Manipulation
- Form and Color
- Observation & Analysis
- Communication & Precision.
Final Result: After the ST and PE, final shortlisted candidates will be released on the official website in the month of May based on the marks obtained in UID DAT 2023, and situation test and portfolio evaluation together.
Counselling: The final shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process. The date of the counselling will be intimidated to students through email.
It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in person for counselling for admission. No relaxation of any kind is permissible in this regard.
The yearly intake consists of 420 students across 8 specializations at the undergraduate level and 60 students across 6 specializations at the postgraduate level.
