JK SET syllabus 2023 is prescribed by the University of Jammu. JK SET latest syllabus is updated on the official website. JK SET 2023 examination is conducted for 39 subjects. The subjects are carried onto two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. 

JK SET 2023 syllabus for Paper 1 includes questions from subjects of teaching and research aptitude. While Paper 2 includes 39 different subjects. Candidates are advised to go through the JK SET syllabus 2023 to prepare better for the examination.

JK SET Syllabus 2023: Paper 1

JK SET Paper 1 includes the Teaching and Research Aptitude subjects. JKSET Paper 1 syllabus includes different topics from 10 units. A total of five questions carrying two marks each are asked from each of the 10 units.

Given below are the units comprised in the JK SET syllabus 2023 for Paper 1:

JK SET Teaching Aptitude Syllabus

• Teaching: Concept, objectives, levels of teaching, characteristics, and basic requirements.
• Learner’s characteristics: Characteristics of adolescent and adult learners, individual differences.
• Factors affecting teaching related to: Teacher, learner, support material, instructional facilities, learning environment, and institution.
• Methods of teaching in higher learning institutions: Teacher-centred vs learner-centered methods, offline vs online methods.
• Teaching support system: Traditional, modern and ICT based.
• Evaluation systems: Elements and types of evaluation, evaluation in choice-based credit systems in higher education, computer-based testing, innovations in evaluation systems.

JK SET Research Aptitude Syllabus

• Research: Meaning, types, and characteristics, positivism and post-positivist approach to research
• Methods of research: Experimental, descriptive, historical, qualitative and quantitative methods
• Steps of research

• Application of ICT in research
• Research ethics

• Effective communication: Verbal and nonverbal, intercultural and group communications, classroom communication.

Mathematical Reasoning and Aptitude Syllabus

• Types of reasoning
• Number series, letter series, codes, and relationships
• Mathematical aptitude

JK SET Logical Reasoning Syllabus

JKSET Paper 2 will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate from the available 39 subjects.

JK SET Exam Pattern is provided in tabular structure:

• Exam Mode: The examination will be held offline for both papers.
• Number of Questions: Paper 1 will include 50 questions while Paper 2 will consist of 100 questions.
• Marking: Candidates will receive 2 marks for each correct answer, there will be no negative marking in the examination.
