ICAR AIEEA Seat Allotment: Timing and Rounds

The ICAR 2025 counselling process will probably start in August 2025 for both UG (via CUET-UG) and PG (via ICAR-PG) programmes. It is typically held in four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Mop-Up Round to fill vacant seats. The process may extend till September 2025.

Rounds 1 and 2 provide the facility for choice upgradation, and you have the opportunity to shift to superior preferred options. However, Round 3 and the Mop-Up Round are irreversible, and no upgrades or withdrawals are possible after that.

You must register online, pay the counselling fee, and fill you course and university preferences. Seat allotment is based on merit rank, choice preferences, seat availability, and reservation rules. After the allotment results are published online you can download your provisional allotment letters.

To participate in the ICAR AIEEA 2025 counselling process, you need to:

  • Register online on the official ICAR counselling portal.
  • Pay a counselling fee, usually around ₹400.

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Post-Allotment Formalities

Once a seat is allotted, you need to upload scanned documents and pay a seat acceptance fee (≈₹10,000). This is followed by physical reporting at the allotted university with original documents and fee proof. Failure to complete these steps leads to cancellation of the seat.

List of Documents Required for ICAR AIEEA Admission Process

Post allotment, you must upload scanned copies (JPEG format) of all required documents. These typically include:

  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Bachelor's degree (for PG applicants)
  • ICAR AIEEA Admit Card and Rank Card
  • Aadhaar Card and/or Domicile Certificate
  • Caste/Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD)

A non-refundable seat acceptance fee (approximately ₹10,000) is to be paid to confirm the allotted seat. This fee will be adjusted in the first-year tuition of the university.

Failure to make this payment within the given timeline may result in losing the allotted seat.

ICAR AIEEA Counselling Physical Reporting Details

The final step is reporting physically to the allotted university. You must carry the following things:

Physical reporting validates the admission and allows you to begin the academic session formally. It is compulsory—missing this step will result in cancellation of admission.

ICAR AIEEA 2025: Upgradation and Mop-Up Explained

If you are unsatisfied with your allotted seat in Round 1 or 2 then you can opt for upgradation in the next round. The Mop-Up Round is the final chance to get a seat, open to those who didn’t register earlier or weren’t allotted previously. No upgrades or cancellations are allowed after the Mop-Up.

If one is not entirely satisfied with the allotted course/university in Round 1 or Round 2, they can opt for seat upgradation in the subsequent round. The previously allotted seat remains secure until a higher-preferred choice is allotted.

However, once Round 3 is completed, no further upgrades are allowed. The Mop-Up Round does not offer any upgradation or withdrawal facility.

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Mop-Up Round Details

This round is specially meant to fill all remaining vacant seats and is considered the final opportunity to secure admission. The eligibility for the Mop-Up round include:

  • Those who did not register in previous rounds.
  • Those who registered but didn’t fill choices.
  • Those who filled choices but didn’t receive any seats.

Please note: Once a seat is allotted in the Mop-Up round, no cancellations or upgrades are permitted.

What If You Don't Get Allotted in the ICAR AIEEA Seat Allotment Process?
