If a candidate who has opted for MEC is not selected for the desired course, then their candidature shall be considered for CEC and vice-versa. In case of tie-breaker among the candidates with the same marks in APRJC 2023 examination, the order of the merit will be considered as follows.
- The higher marks secured by the student in Biological Science for BPC/CGT, Mathematics for MPC/EET and Social Studies for MEC/CEC shall be considered.
- If the tie-breaker still persists, the higher marks secured by the student in Physical Science for MPC/EET and for BPC/CGT, Mathematics for MEC/CEC shall be considered.
- The next way of tie-breaker will be by taking advanced age as criteria. If there is a tie-breaker between male and female candidates, then a female candidate will be given higher priority or rank.

The full form of APRJC CET is Andhra Pradesh Residential Junior College Common Entrance Test. Andhra Pradesh Residential Junior College (APRJC) was established in 1975 by Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutions (APREI) to provide and deliver quality education for all talented students.
