John Institute of Technology is part of the T. John Group of Institutions. Since a humble beginning in 1993 the T. John Group has expanded to include new departments and blocks and spread over an area of 20 acres. TJIT was set up in the year 2006 to meet the rapidly growing need for IT Professionals in India and abroad. Starting with just two courses B.E. Computer Science Engineering and B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, today the college has expanded into a full-fledged provider of technical education, offering B.E. degrees in six streams of engineering, as well as two post-graduate courses. The Department of Information Science Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication Engineering was established in the year 2007. In the same year the institute also started the Business Administration Department that offers the MBA program under VTU. In 2009 the first batch of Mechanical Engineering students joined the institute to pursue B.E. in Mechanical Engineering under the newly established Department of Mechanical Engineering. Continuing its exponential growth in 2010, TJIT started the MCA program under VTU.

T John Institute of Technology offers a full-time B.E course of 4 years duration to the applicants with 5 specializations. Lateral Entry is also offered to the aspirants. Candidates seeking admission in Lateral Entry shall clear all the bridge courses as prescribed by the university.

Second Year. Minimum eligibility is Diploma or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks. The fee structure for the B.E course is INR 1,25,000 per annum.

For admission to doctorate programs candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the College. All admissions are made strictly following the college rules in force at the time of admission. If students clear this test, they have to go to the college and pay fees of INR 20,000/- (For external candidates) and INR 15,000/- (For internal candidates).
The Candidates must possess Masters Degree recognized from the University, with a minimum CGPA OF 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at the Master’s Degree
