Placements & Internships : There is a streamlined process for the placement department where companies hire for both internship and jobs. MBA students here get placed in finance, business development, marketing and sales positions. I had interned at an educational startup company PiRuby as a digital marketing intern, it was a non paid internship offer. Average salary for Finance and marketing students is around 3.5 lakh.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I am a final semester MBA student at M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. I entered this course through PGCET Karnataka exam and the cut off for this stream was ranking below 200. 

Fees & Scholarships : MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, [MSRIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. Fees of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is: There is a management and government exam fee structure. Typical PGCET govt. fee is around 60,000 per year and 2.5lakh per year for management stream. Scholarship is also based on rank holders and student category, with category students availed scholarship through government organizations. 

Academics & Faculty : One of the best faculty is available for the department of management studies with professors explaining concepts practically. Classes usually start exactly at 9 am and finishes at around 1 pm or 3.30 pm. Theoretical knowledge for finance and marketing concepts is understood on an average level based on the learning capacity of the students. The faculties are always helpful in clearing doubts about the subjects or any topic outside the syllabus. Overall, with classes finishing by 1 pm, we get lots of time to pursue our interest in a related domain or helpful in working part-time internships. 

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : With the college occupying a prime location at the center of the city, it has the best travel routes connectivity either train, metro, buses, auto and cabs. With the campus spread around ample area, the college infrastructure well planned and spacious enough. Since it has engineering blocks as the main, MBA department is allotted a whole single floor and spacious rooms. Other facilities include Wifi, canteen, library/digital library, gym, ground, basketball courts etc. Students are offered college PGs and outside PGs. Since I was travelling from my home, I had no contact with the PG structures offered. But the rent in this area varies from around 2000 rupees for shared rooms all the way up to 10,000 for a single bedroom house.  Again, with the college occupying prime locations among residential area, it has lots of options for food outlets. All sorts of food options at varying price and good quality is available.  

Clubs & Associations : Our management department had a different set of clubs and associations from the engineering department. With Ramaiah Management Student Association as the main structure where student elections are conducted to cultural and extracurricular activities club.  As part of the management department, we have annual management festival VISHESH, where management colleges all over Karnataka are invited to participate in management competitions with prizes up to 1lakh to be won. National level paper conferences and talks by famous personalities in management fields are organised by the department at least 2 times a semester. Overall, the fest season around VISHESH is my best time spent with full support from faculties for oraganising and conducting the fest.
