Karpagam University situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India was established in 2008 under section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956 and is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. The President of the trust Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and culture promoter who established the University. The institution is well known for its modern teaching methodologies, contemporary infrastructure, career-oriented training, excellent placements, and the finest faculty. Apart from technical perfection, the university focuses on developing soft skills, ensuring enlightening knowledge, extending holistic education, and creating a strong value system for the students. The university offers various programs in the stream of Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy. Under these streams, numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered. The university also encourages research programs by funding and awarding deserving projects. Karpagam University has ranked 90th in the Indian Rankings for higher educational institutions on performance in 2017. Karpagam Academy of Higher Education [KAHE] accommodates a strength of 6000 students and over 750 teaching & non-teaching staff.

Karpagam University Programs Offered

The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs under four main streams namely, arts, science & humanities, engineering, architecture, and pharmacy. Several courses are available under these four streams from which the prospective candidates can choose the program of their interest.

Ph.D. programs are offered as both full time and part-time courses with differing course duration.

Karpagam University Infrastructure

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education campus exemplifies excellence in every nook and corner. From modern classrooms to hygienic canteens, the highest emphasis is laid on ensuring that student life is enriching in every sense. The infrastructure offered by the university includes a library, up-to-date laboratories, transport, hostel, playground, e-classroom, auditorium, banks, general stores, canteen, etc. The library at the campus works from 8 am till 8 pm and offers membership to all the students, scholars, and staff members. The books in the library are arranged in the Dewey Decimal System and OPAC is used for locating books on the shelves. There are over 9000 books for reference and over 1 lakh books in the lending section of the library, 194 national & international journals, 138 national & international magazines, subscriptions to newsletters, articles, and many more are offered by the library. Each department under the major streams has separate state of art laboratories with conditioned and well-maintained equipment useful for research and experiment purposes of the students. The college has 26 buses for transportation of day scholars and staff residing outside the campus making it easier to travel to and from the college. The canteens on the campus are tidy and extremely spacious. It is ensured that the highest standards of health and hygiene are complied with, to serve wholesome and nutritious food to the staff and students. To meet the everyday needs of students, a store is available on campus. Well-stocked with all the daily necessities, it goes a long way in making life on campus virtually hassle-free. The Indian Overseas Bank at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education campus provides immediate banking assistance to students and staff. Apart from these the college conducts sports and cultural, yoga day, Yugadhya Swachh Bharat, NSS, and NCC schemes.

The enterprising Training and Placement Cell at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE) gears the students to be resourceful assets to their future employing organizations. Towards this, students are prepared with need-based training right from the first year onwards. Expert trainers from the industry impart their experience to enlighten the students. Therefore, comprehensive training in aptitude, soft skills as well as technical expertise is extended to bring about a well-rounded development in the students. Interviews and campus visits are much looked forward to, and every year, an increasing number of companies are making their presence felt at campus recruitment. The current year has seen more than 93% (300 students) get placed in over 20 companies; the expected placement for the next academic year is eyed to be an impressive figure of 400 students. Karpagam University Important Dates

The college announces its admission dates well before the start of admission every academic year. They initially give notice in the newspaper and on the official website, so students who are willing to enroll themselves in the college are asked to visit the college website on a timely basis.

Karpagam University Admission

The candidates willing to apply for any of the offered programs at Karpagam University can apply online at https://admission.kahedu.edu.in/. The candidates can also download the application form of the respective program from the official college website and mail the filled form with DD drawn in favor of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, payable at Coimbatore. 

Karpagam University Hostel

Karpagam University provides separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls on its campus with facilities such as Wi-Fi, library, reading room, mess, and medical units for the convenient stay of the students. The hostel can accommodate 2500 boys and 1500 girls in 531 and 370 rooms respectively. Each student will have access to a separate table, chair, and cupboard for their individual usage. The mess at Karpagam University has a purely vegetarian menu and the mess operates in a buffet system or self-service only. The hostels which are well equipped with modern facilities are under the control of the Chief Warden and two deputy wardens are assigned to take care of the respective hostels.
