BA Honours Details

BHU B. A. (Hons) course is a 3-year full-time course offered at the University. The course provides two prime specialisations, namely BA Social Sciences and BA Arts. Admission to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) course is based on merit and HSC examinations.

BHU B. A. (Hons) Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for B. A. (Hons) at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) are tabulated below.

BHU B. A. (Hons) Admission 

BHU B. A. (Hons) admission is done through the minimum aggregate marks secured in the class 10+2 examination or equivalent. Applicants must secure a minimum aggregate score of 50% and a valid score in the CUET UG exam for admission. Based on the scores secured by the candidates, a merit list will be issued. Applicants must appear for a language test (Hindi or English) and a General test to proceed in the BHU admission process.

Interested candidates must apply for BHU B. A. (Hons) online. Below are the steps to follow for the application procedure at BHU.

• Register by entering the required information like email ID, number, and address.
• On the student dashboard, select the option “My Application”.
• Fill out the application form, and upload documents and educational details.
• Upload signature and photo.
• Preview and submit the form.
• Pay the application fee online via credit card/credit card/ net banking/ UPI from your laptop. Payments via mobile may be rejected for security reasons. 

Entrance Exams

To participate in the BHU admission process, applicants must secure a valid rank in the CUET UG examinations.
