Table of Contents
The CBSE Class 12 Chemistry 2026 exam will have a total score of 100, of which 70 is allocated for the theory paper and 30 marks for the practical assessment. The theory paper will be divided into five parts, A to E. Part A carries 16 marks. Part B carries 10 marks. Part C will be awarded 21 marks. Part D consists of 8 marks. Part E consists of 15 marks.
The practical assessment for CBSE Class 12 Chemistry is divided into 5 sections: salt analysis and volumetric analysis (8 marks each), content-based experiments (6 marks), project work, viva, and class record (4 marks each). Theory exams will last for three hours, while practicals will last for two. The exam doesn't carry any negative marking, and students need to score a minimum of 33% to pass.
