How to Download MHT CET Merit List 2024?
The merit list of MHT CET 2024 will be made available online. The steps to check and download the MHT CET 2024 merit list are listed below.
- Candidates should first visit the official website of MHT CET 2024.
- Candidates must click on “Merit List 2024” on the home page.
- Candidates must use their login credentials (date of birth and application ID) to access the merit list.
- The merit list will be displayed.
- Candidates must check for their names in the merit list and download it for further procedures.
- Candidates who find discrepancies in the merit list should report them immediately.
MHT CET Merit List 2023
The MHT CET merit list 2024 was released separately for all the categories (All India/Maharashtra/J&K Migrant/NRI/PIO/OCI/CIWGC/FN/JEE Main qualified candidates). Preparation of MHT CET Merit List 2024
The MHT CET merit list 2024 will be prepared based on the merit of the candidates in the MHT CET entrance examination. Usually, in the case of ties, tie-breaking criteria are employed to resolve them. Therefore, the final merit list will consist of the qualified candidates in order of their merit.
MHT CET Tie-Breaking Criteria
The tie-breaking criteria resolve the ties that arise when more than one candidate competes for a rank or position in the merit list. The following are the tie-breaking criteria of MHT CET 2024.
- Candidates with higher scores in Mathematics in MHT CET 2024 are given a higher rank.
- If a tie persists, candidates with higher scores in the Physics section of MHT CET 2024 are given a higher rank.
- If the tie is not resolved even then, candidates with higher scores in the Chemistry section of MHT CET 2024 are given a higher rank.
- If the tie persists, candidates with a higher percentage of marks in the Board or qualifying examination (PCM) are given a higher MHT CET rank.
- Candidates’ percentage of marks in 10+2 or equivalent examinations then comes into play. Their marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are considered in the respective order to resolve a persisting tie.
MHT CET Key Points
The key points of MHT CET that the candidates must remember are as follows.
- MHT CET 2024 separate merit lists will be released online for all categories such as All India/Maharashtra/J&K Migrant/NRI/PIO/OCI/CIWGC/FN candidates/JEE Main qualified candidates.
- First the provisional merit list will be released. The candidates must check the merit list and submit grievances against it, if any.
- After thoroughly going through the submitted grievances, the counselling authority will release a final merit list.
- Candidates who secure a place in the MHT CET 2024 merit list will be eligible to participate in MHT CET 2024 counselling.
MHT CET Counselling 2024
The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra is the conducting authority of MHT CET counselling 2024. The candidates who secured the qualifying marks in the entrance examination and achieve a place in the MHT CET merit list 2024 can participate in the MHT CET counselling. Based on the merit, course and college preferences and category of the candidates, seat allotment to colleges will be carried out. The candidates can download their seat allotment letters from the official website. The students must report to the allotted colleges within the time window given to confirm their admissions.
