Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • The opting choice for Banaras Hindu University as my college is one of the best decisions of my life so far.
  • It is quite a tough to take admissions here as lakhs of students fills the form for bachelors' degree and a mere handful of 100-120 best among them are selected.
  • The eligibility criteria were having 60% or above in intermediate class. The admission procedure here is quite a step-by-step process.
  • As first, you will be called for counselling according to your ranks or as it is said, index number, there you will have to show all the certificates, results of intermediate and high-school, migration and transfer certificates too, then a form of getting the subject combination will be given to you, which you have to fill in priority wise, as you will be allotted that subject combination which you given the highest priority.
  • Next, after few days the result will be declared and then you can lock the subject combination which you have got or upgrade to any else if the upgradation is available.
  • The year I took admission saw the highest index no. of 246 for general category, so normally the typical cutoffs are around 160-165 for general category.
