About MS Ayurveda
Ayurvedic surgery is a set of ancient procedures that incorporates both traditional and modern surgical techniques. Ayurveda Dhanvantari is the traditional name for the academic study of this ancient method of medicine. Both current and classic surgical procedures are covered in this course. Unlike other Master's degrees in India, the Master of Surgery in Ayurveda is a 3-year course. This course falls under the umbrella of the MS course.
MS Ayurveda stands for Master of Surgery in Ayurveda. As per Wikipedia, “Ayurveda is an alternative medicine system with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent. The theory and practice of Ayurveda are pseudoscientific.”
Eligibility Criteria for MS Ayurveda
MS Ayurveda eligibility criteria are as follows:
A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required of candidates (preferably a BAMS Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery Degree). The Central Council of Indian Medicine should recognise the degree (CCIM).
Candidates must have completed a six-month rotatory internship after completing their Bachelor's degree in four and a half years. Candidates with an MCI (Medical Council of India) recognised MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree are also regarded as eligible for the course.
Candidates must have received at least 50% of the marks in the intermediate level examination. The maximum age limit to apply for this course is 35 years. Additionally, students must give the required entrance exam.
How To Get Admission for MS Ayurveda?
For securing admission to the programme, applicants must pass an entrance exam. Candidates will be chosen solely based on their Final Merit Index, which is generated from a total index of 100 points based on the written test and marks earned in the relevant topic, as well as the final year examination of their degree programme.
