D.Y. Patil College of Engineering was established in 1984 originally in Pimpri which was later on shifted to the Akurdi complex in 2001. DYPCOE is situated in the vicinity of the Pimpri Chinchwad Industrial area which is considered to be one of the biggest Industrial belts in Asia. D.Y. Patil College of Engineering was founded by Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathishthan, former Governor of Bihar State, the Republic of India spreading over 10 acres of land with seven Engineering disciplines. The college has ventured and excelled in uncommon streams like engineering, management, research and technology. Moreover, the college enjoys academic alliances with overseas universities that help to breach the educational and cultural divide between various countries and us.

The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institution is designated as a grade "A" College by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Government of Maharashtra and is recognized by the Institution of Engineers, India. DYPCOE has excellent & ambient infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories. Well-qualified, motivated, and dedicated faculty members are serving in the Institute. Students are encouraged to actively participate in National and State level co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The institute has a well-planned boys and girls hostel on the campus with better amenities and ultra-modern facilities.

DYPCOE Admission

80% of the UG & PG admissions occur through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)  and 20% of the total seats to the college management for admissions. Queries regarding management quota seats can be cleared by contacting the admission cell in-charge in the college premises for more details.

DYPCOE Eligiblity Criteria

 DYPCOE has a detailed explanation of the eligibility for the UG and PG programs for the candidates referenced who are interested to apply.

UG Course Eligiblity Criteria

• For Maharashtra State Candidates / Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidates / All India Candidates (AI)
  • The aspirant should be an Indian National
  • Should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects.
  • Should have obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Furthermore, the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non-zero scores in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. Or
  • Should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology by obtaining at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
  • Obtained score in MHT CET 2020.
  • Obtained score in JEE(Main) Paper I or MHT-CET 2020.
• For Children of NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC), Foreign National (FN) Candidates
  • Should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects
  • The candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in the above subjects taken together.

PG Course Eligiblity Criteria

• The candidate should be an Indian National.
• Candidate should have passed/appeared Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from State Governments/MHRD approved institutions, with at least 50 % Aggregate marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
• The candidate should possess Bachelor's degree in the relevant course of Engineering or Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
• The candidate should have a positive and valid GATE Score in the respective qualifying branch.

DYPCOE Infrastructure

The institution provides various facilities for the students to make campus life memorable and to create an apt atmosphere to induce better learning. The infrastructure in the college includes a library, transportation, canteen, laboratories, conference hall, auditorium, etc. The library is enriched with a wide variety of books, well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, e-journals, CD-ROMs etc. Overall the library has a stock of 3000 books. The open access system is followed hence the library is truly becoming the knowledge seeker’s hub. DYPCOE has air-conditioned labs enabled with internet and licensed software applications connected to the network. Wi-Fi facility is provided as another mandatory thing so students are not restricted to labs or spend money in café for projects and programming. The Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the college.
