Placements and Internships

3.5

Internships:

Every student is to complete a compulsory internship after the 2nd semester in order to complete a credit course for the awarding of the MBA degree.

The college helps the students in finding internships by taking aptitude tests and shortlisting the candidates for internships melas around the city. Interested students can attend the internship programs or if they desire can go and look out for internships on their own.

Companies that provide internships for the students might also offer preplacement offers to the student based on their performance and hire them at the end of their internship period.

Placements:

The placements for the MBA dept generally begin in the 3rd semester for students under the eligibility criteria of a minimum percentage of 60% and no backlogs in order to maintain the standard of BMS.

Out of a particular batch around 90% are eligible for placements of which 10% do not take up placements due to their own business holdings. Roughly 70-75% of students are placed successfully in various companies such as ITC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Asian Paints, Berger, etc.

The salary packages are around 4-8 LPA based on the companies. The department is working tirelessly to bring in value-added courses in order to bring out the maximum potential of the students and to attract better pay packages from the companies.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The admission process generally begins around the month of June, at the same time as the PGCET exams. There are various modes of admission to the college i.e. through various entrance exams accepted by the college such as PGCET, CAT, MAT, KMAT, or via Management seat.

The selection process through management quota is a bit more complex than the ones through PGCET. It involves an aptitude test, group discussion, and finally a personal interview.

Other than PGCET, all the other entrance exams come under the eligibility criteria for admission under management quota.

PGCET students once they come under the cutoff for the college can opt for this institution and admission is given.

The total intake of the college for the MBA Dept is 120 students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I had written the PGCET exam in order to get admission into the college. The cut-off rank for MBA in BMS is less than 400 I think. Once you get a seat through KEA you'll have to submit your documents and your admission will be done. Quite an easy process
