Placements and Internships
- I was offered a full-time job from IBM Bangalore through campus hiring. I did not take that opportunity because it was completely BPO call center based job. I had attended 5 key companies interview throughout my campus hiring period, those are TCS, IBM, L&T, Decathlon, and WIPRO.
- Average salary estimation is INR 6,00,000/year.
- Alumni's are connected through the social website of our college. we get notified for every campus activities organized in college and also we are vibrated through emails from college administration block about any happy occasions or in need of any help throughout the country.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 2 separate hostels for both male and female. The infrastructure of hostels includes Air condition rooms with separate bathroom and indoor games facility is available with wifi and common kitchen.
- PGs outside the college vary from luxury to medium class rooms. Normally they cost 10k per month.
- We have a seperate food department inside the college campus and a snack canteen too. breakfast is basically served in the south Indian style and for lunch, there are both the options for vegetarian and nonvegetarian lovers. per meal, it cost around 50 rupees.
- Classrooms are decorated with bright focus lights and push back chairs. Also includes Air Con, Mark white Board And Projector installed.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Any graduate who has passed out with the minimum percentage of 60 from any in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering or any approved University) is eligible to apply. PGCET and KMAT is a gateway for admission to first or second year (Lateral entry full-time postgraduate degree course in MCA. It is a state level entrance exam. The admissions are offered on the basis of PGCET and KMAT score.
- I took up CMAT entrance and I got admission through management quota.
- The cut-off was above 60 percent.
Academics and Faculty
- My daily routine starts from 9 am to 5 pm (Including lunch break). Every day we have a practical lab hour after the lunch break. Projects and assignments are taken care during lab hour itself.
- Quality of teaching is excellent. professors are very understanding of any topics they talk about. Method of teaching is innovative as well as traditional.
- Overall experience was amazing and it was a very professional way. With the guidance of the college principal, we learn the discipline and corporate behavior inside the college campus itself.
Fees and Scholarships
- St Joseph Engineering College, [SJEC] Mangalore Management Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 1,15,000 per year.
- Students who get admitted through PGCET entrance exam are provided with the concession of 40% of their annual fee. For majority community students are provided with the private scholarships such as Jindal and National scholarship portal.
- Students who have graduated with 60 percent minimum aggregate marks are applicable for a scholarship.
Clubs and Associations
- There are various student clubs and associations which includes Fine Arts, Sports Club, Fest forum, Yoga and Fitness, and Cultural Group.
- The main festivals include TIARA, JOSHIANA, TEC TALENT, SYMGA for various department.
- Comparatively academic it was same as other engineering colleges but it was fun being with friends around the eco-green student square campus.
