Ankita Paul's Review on Indus Business Academy, [IBA] Bangalore

The internship period starts immediately after 3rd trimester from the month of April which ends in June. The internship period is minimum 2 months. The Key companies coming in our college is for Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations. The maximum students hired are from Marketing companies. The average salary offered this year was 4 lacs. The highest salary offered this year was 8 lac and the percentage placed is 95% students. The Alumni network is strong here as they constantly stay connected through fests, alumni meet etc.

The hostels are separate for girls and boys. There are different rates for rooms based on the student choices. It has two sharing, two sharing with attached bathrooms, one sharing and one sharing with attached bathrooms, the charges levied are different for each. Threes hiring is not available in Girls Hostel. The boys' hostel also has the above-mentioned rooms with the difference that they have the facility of three sharing. The food is better compared to other college's mess. The food, maintenance and hostel fees are all collected at the beginning of academic year. The quality of labs, libraries, classrooms, dining halls is well furnished.

IBA takes into consideration, entrance examinations like CAT, MAT, CMAT. The admission procedure goes through one or two face to face interactive sessions with the faculty or the PRO or the CEO, it depends on the availability of the people. If the face to face is not possible as the candidate might belong from other states, then a telephonic cum Skype chat is made possible. The results come within one week. The Cutoff for the course is 60% in 10th, 12th and graduation degree.  

The daily routine is basically from 9:30 to 5:30 classes, assignments and homework are given on an alternative basis. The exams are midterm and end term of 100 marks. The quality and method of teaching is better compared to other colleges. The faculty are well educated and come from IIMS, IITS and various other renowned management colleges. The overall experience is good.

The course fee is 6.7 lacs. There are many scholarship options available in this college like for defence people, students having 60% in 10th, 12th and undergraduates, etc. From a batch strength of 150 people, at least more than 50% people got scholarships. Yes, the loans are supported by our college and all the necessary documents will be provided by them.

The student clubs and committees are all welcome to be joined. There are separate clubs for Marketing, Finance, HR, writers' etc. All the main festivals are celebrated in college. The life in IBA is good and it has so much greenery in the campus. As it is out of city life, it still has that non-polluting factor associated with it. A the end, it depends on the students' calibre on how they can attain knowledge and use it and earn the rightful placement.
