Sri Harsha's Review on GITAM School of Technology, Hyderabad

I have done two internships in the year 2016 and 2017. My stipend in both companies was 12k per month. In 2017 I have done an internship at Smartron and in 2012 at Skincare. Many companies visit our campus including Amazon, VMware, Verizon. Most of the companies look for IT and others look for sales and finance. The average salary is around 300k per annum with Amazon offering 18 lakh per annum. The campus has 100% placements. The alumni network is very good. Alumni meetings will be held frequently to interact with students.

I come from home so I don't know about hostels or PGs. There are 5 canteens available including a subway. The prices are affordable and quality is excellent. Classrooms, library, labs are designed with good equipment with security all over. WiFi is excellent and can be accessed anywhere on campus. It's fast.

Gitam has a special entrance examination called GAT. It's conducted every year. I have taken GAT in 2014 and sealed a seat in the Gitam college in 2014. There are three branches of Gitam University. Vizag is the main branch with Hyderabad and Bangalore being other two. There are almost 200 seats in each branch in Hyderabad. If you are below 10000 ranks in the GAT exam, you will likely be able to choose any branch you want.

Class work starts at 9 am and ends at 4 pm. Few classes will be given for extra activities. Assignments are given quite frequently. Quality and method of teaching are not up to the mark. Overall it's a good college for nice exposure and getting placement.

The course fee is 240k at present. The scholarship is given based on merit. Only a few students get a scholarship. If your family income is less, taking an educational loan would be beneficial as there will be many expenses excluding fee. They can be availed from any bank. Indian bank and union bank would be preferred.

There are dedicated science and arts clubs. There is also an entrepreneur club. They are good but work is not up to the mark. In our college, the fest is the main festival. It's held in February. The technical fest is also held every year. Overall, college life is good and joyful.
