Placements and Internships
- The International Management Institute has a very active placement cell. The placement cell is run by students under the supervision of the concerned faculty of the college. Since its inception, the institute has ensured the best placement for its student. Since the last decade, 100% of the students got placement in the national and international organisation. Students here are trained to work in different roles. In all, 85 companies participated in Final placements at IMI this year to recruit from a batch of 220 students (177 in PGDM and 43 in PGDMHRM). Companies represented almost all sectors: Banking, Hospitality, FMCG, Automobile, Retail, Consulting, etc. The highest package was 22 lpa with an average of 9.91 lpa. For summer placements, 89 companies visited showing the strong positive image of the college and its intellectual property among the recruiter's community.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- International Management Institute Delhi is located in Qutab Institutional Area in South Delhi. The campus is about 3 acres in area.
- The quality classrooms are well spaced and air conditioned. Every classroom is equipped with a projector and a desktop PC as most of the pedagogy is in the form of presentations.
- The college has a well-established library with plenty of books, magazines, journals, articles and novels. One can access the library anytime between 9 am to 12 midnight(timings extend upto 2 in the night during exams).
- The campus has Wi-Fi connectivity everywhere with each student getting a login id and password(no limit on downloads). There is a gym inside the campus where the students can work out for free.
- The campus has a separate hostel for boys and girls. But the hostel inside the campus is not large enough to accomodate all the students so only 2nd year students stay in the campus hostels.
- For the first year, students stay outside the campus and it is mandatory to stay in a hostel as it is a fully residential program, there are college buses (to get to the college and back to the hostel) at regular intervals of time.
Academics and Faculty
- The International Management Institute offers PGDM, PGDM(B&FS), PGDM-HRM, Executive PGDM and fellowship program in management. The institute is, however, popular with its 2-year full-time PGDM course. The course is unique in its curriculum and field work programme. Under this course, the student is offered academic knowledge about the various field of education like Finance, marketing, operations, analytics, strategy, sales, research, laws & conventions etc. In the final year, the student has the option to choose among the elective/optional subjects and the option to do dual specialisation- one as major and other as minor. The programme is particularly unique because of the summer internship programme. student have various academic/professional clubs in different functional areas. The speakers for all these events are eminent business personalities. All the events are planned and executed by the students, in close coordination with Area faculty members.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee of the PGDM, PGDMHR and PGDM(B& FS) programmes for the 2014-16 batch is about 16.5 lakhs. The hostel fee varies from Rs. 85000 to Rs. 125000 per annum depending on the type of room(mess charges are separate and cost around Rs. 3200/month).
- There is no provision of scholarships to the students.
- However, the institute has tied up with many banks for educational loans to the students. About 60% of the student avail of this facility.
Clubs and Associations
- There 16 clubs and association for various activities at International Management Institute. The college has a student council which is represented by a General Secretary and 4 other council members who look after all the other clubs and committee and are the student's representative. The cultural club of the college organises all the festivals, annual fest, cultural programs and movie screenings etc. time to time. placement cell looks after summer and final placements. The college also has Residential Affairs Committee. sports committee etc.
