- The students also have an opportunity to attend an internship program in any company of their choice being a student of SRM University.
- It improves their skill and makes them adaptable to the working atmosphere of a company.
- SRM Ramapuram is famous for its placement record.
- Leading companies from different fields and sectors come for placement and fetch many students.
- Students are looked up for their communication and technical skills.
- The companies coming for placements include leading players like Infosys, Wipro, CTS, M&M, Godrej, Amazon, L&T etc.
- The students are given training and an amazing package. About more than 60% of students are placed.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- SRM Ramapuram campus has an amazing atmosphere which is mostly because of its greenery. Despite being small in area compared to the main campus, it is neat and preferable because of its location within the city. The campus bus is the main source of transportation to different parts of the city.Students from Chennai find it easy to commute to and from college.
Academics and Faculty
- A working day consists of 7 periods for students up to a 3rd year with each period having a duration of 55 minutes in SRM University - [SRM], Kanchipuram.
- Final year students are focussed more on project work with having only a few subjects to pursue.
- Academic weight gave on external and internal assessment is same ie 50% each, with internal assessment consisting of 2 cycle test and a model exam.
- SRM Ramapuram offers a variety of academic courses which are most preferred and pursued by Indian Graduates like B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, IT, EEE and EC.
- Teaching staff are well qualified and skilled and try their level best to spark passion in students in their relative fields.
- Teachers are well versed both in English and the regional language which helps them to have an excellent communication with the students.
- The teaching staff is always ready to attend to any problem the student might be facing in academics or any other personal issues by giving their best insight.
Fees and Scholarships
- College Fee is flexible and is changed each year with the rise in the standard of Education in SRM University - [SRM], Kanchipuram.
- The fee paid by me is INR 1.5 lakhs per annum excluding transport and food expenses.
- The students who have excelled in sports and academics in school are given a deserving scholarship.
- Also, students who are not strong economically are given scholarship which helps them financially.
- The students are also open to a variety of banks for educational loans to reduce their dependence on family income.
Clubs and Associations
- SRM Ramapuram does encourage students for all-round development by motivating them to participate in activities apart from academics which is important for career development and social life.
- This includes the participation of students in various clubs like Eco club, Literary club, Entrepreneur club etc.
- Students are encouraged to be a part of these clubs and engage in conducting various events to raise awareness on important issues.
- Activities like dance, singing and acting are also very popular among students and they always try to give their best.
- Sports like basketball, Badminton etc are also given importance and students are very enthusiastic to participate, play with better players and improve their game.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for admission is taking SRMJEE exam and then you will be provided with the suitable branches according to your rank. If you are the state topper or rank under 100 in SRMJEE exam, then you will get a 100% scholarship. Cutoffs vary year to year but to take CSE branch in less tuition fee, you need to secure a rank within 10,000. Above which the tuition fee is increased by 1 lakh. Same goes with the other branches also but the parting rank is 25000.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The qualification criteria is 70% total in physics, chemistry, and maths. I haven't taken any entrance exams for joining.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria - complete 10th and 12th standard exams, for my campus more than 70% in 12th was a must. I gave college entrance exam - SRMJEEE - 2015 The results came out with ranks, Up to 6000 ranks got CSE and Up to 20000 ranks were eligible for getting mechanical.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria in SRM UNIVERSITY for BTECH programme is now reduced to 50% aggregate in PCM. For admission, SRM conducts an exam SRMJEEE(UG) for this apply online on SRM UNIVERSITY official site or you can fill it offline Candidates will be invited for counseling session based on the score obtained. Or Students who have secured first ranks in central and state boards in India. There is no cutoff selection is on the basis of rank and seat availability.
