Placements and Internships
- There is score of companies visiting the campus round the year. Mostly these are IT companies. Average salary figure is low around 3 lakhs.
- Highest had been 55 lakhs. Most students with average marks get placed in IT companies with low packages. Very few get good packages from companies like Amazon, MU Sigma and more.
- University maintains a good alumni network and invites them regularly.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are many hostels to accommodate such a huge amount of students. There is a good rental option outside the campus and relatively cheaper than hostels for amenities provided.
- Food in the college is quite poor in taste and quality.
- Classrooms are good and equipped with average and good quality wifi in hostel and campus respectively.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- SRM conducts its own online entrance exam named SRMJEE ask over the country. The questions are relatively easy and usually conceptual basics.
- There is no cut off and you are ranked according to your marks. At least 75% in boards is a criterion. However, you can get admission through management quota paying a hefty amount.
- The typical cut offs tend to increase every year as intake increases however for it is would have been around 14,000.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine is very hectic with 10 hours continuous class and has five working days a week. They conduct a lot of tests and exams and collect assignments.
- The quality and method of teaching are quite poor. The overall experience in college is below average.
Fees and Scholarships
- SRM university charges very hefty tuition fees.
- They provide a good scholarship to students who are ranked advice 4000 in SRMJEE and more than 95% in boards. It also provides scholarship to board toppers. It provides scholarship to regional minorities and semester toppers too.
Clubs and Associations
- There are various Associations and clubs in the university. The main fest is techno-management fest called Aarush and cultural fest called Milan.
- Life in the college is generally dynamic.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1. The minimum eligibility criteria for every candidate with normal fee structure was 75 percantage in maths ,physics and chemistry, then depending on your srmjee rank and availability of seats for every branch , the candidate must obatin a seat in their favourite branch, with all this parameters . 2. To get an admission one must take SRMJEE. 3. There is no typical cutoffs for this course.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Inorder to get admission u need to apply for entrance exam, u are asked to attend entrance exam in nearby centre. SRMU entrance exam yes there is cutoff's based on that only they are selecting candidates but it may vary based on candidates appeared for the exam.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1) Eligibility criteria:-aggregate in pcm should be more than 65% combined . Admission procedure are usually based on the score of an individual in SRMJEE exam. 2) I took SRMJEE and based on score became an IT student in SRM. 3) Cutoffs usually differ for each year . If the SRMJEE rank of an individual is between 1-1000, they easily get CS . IT:-1000-22000 Software:-22000-33000

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Srmjee was the exam we took to get into SRM and 65% in boards was required to get into SRM even after qualifying the examination.
