College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 16 hostels, hostel fee is included in total fee. All the students stay in hostels
- The food is not so good and again included in total fee.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine is neither too hectic nor very easy. The lecture classes are usually in the hours before lunch and tutorials and lectures are after lunch.
- Some of the teachers in IIT Roorkee are very good and are very aware of their subjects while some maybe good in subjects are not so good in teaching.
- The overall experience is positive.
Fees and Scholarships
- The fees per year is around Rs 1.2 lakhs.
- Various scholarships are availaible to different student with low economic background.
- Loans are easily available normally from PNB or SBI which are within the campus itself.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for this course was- One must have secured 75% marks in his 12th. 2. One must have cleared JEE MAIN with the minimum cutoff marks. The entrance exam that I took was JEE ADVANCED and the cutoff for my course was: 1. Under 449 air for general candidates. 2. Under 202 category rank for OBC- NCL. 3. Under 132 category rank for SC candidates. 4. Under 98 category rank for ST candidates.
Academics & Faculty : Daily routine includes classes and tutorials of 6-7 hours. Quality of teaching is good. Faculty is sound and experienced. Courses are light including tests. But the projects are a bit extensive and require some serious efforts. The courses are extremely relevant and also the professors are quite good both in terms of teaching and accessibility.
Academics & Faculty : Daily routine is hectic, yet, enjoyable. Most of the days, classes start by 9 AM. The maximum time classes can go upto is 6 PM with a lunch break from 1 PM to 2 PM. Teachers mostly teach using slides and classes are great learning places provided a student pays interest to what the teacher says. Summing up, so long and so forth, college has been too much fun.
