I got admission in my college via jee advanced and cutoff for my course was 900 AIR
The course fee for Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Civil Engineering) is INR 2,65,000 p.a. for general and OBC students at IIT Roorkee. rest it is very low. almost 30 percent of students manage to get a scholarship.
No interns have done as it's the first year. Almost every big company visits IIT Roorkee and salary varies from INR 3 lakh to 2 crores per annum and the average goes up to INR 10 lakh per annum.

There are a lot of groups and clubs inside IIT. Main fests are Thomson which is cultural fest, cognizance which is tech fest, Sangram which is sports fest. Life is very good.
There are 9 hostels for boys and 2 for girls and 2 for married. Hostel fees are INR 5000 per semester. Hostels are mandatory in IITS.Quality of food is average and it costs INR 50 per meal. Qualit of classrooms is very good, they are air conditioned. There is free wifi in every corner of iit.
Timing are not fix they vary ever day Quality of teaching is very poor we have to study by own. My experience in college is good.
My course fee is INR 2 lakh per year excluding hostel and mess fees. Which is INR 40000. Students whose parental income is less than INR 1 lakh per annum they don't have to fill INR 2 lakh and whose parental income is less than INR 5 lakh have to fill INR 1/3 of 2 lakh. Loans are very easy to get as there is a bank in IITalso.

You should have at least 75 % marks in 12th board. You have to clear JEE mains first and then JEE advance. Your rank must be under all India 4000 for pursuing my branch. The cutoff for JEE main varies every year in the range of 85 to 105 marks out of 360 marks. The cutoff of JEE advanced is for every subject i.e physics, chemistry, mathematics which is 10 to 15% marks in every subject.
First of all, I wanna talk about the eligibility criteria for entering IIT Roorkee. The entrance test you have to give for taking admission in this college is JEE-advanced. I prepared JEE for two years and JEE is one of the hardest tests in India. I am from Metallurgy branch, so cutoff usually depends on criteria. And for general category, you must a score less than 6000 AIR(All India Rank) to get admission in IIT Roorkee Metallurgy branch.
There are many inter clubs. Thomson show is the main festival of our college. The life in college is peaceful and full of glory.
The overall usability is very good. The hostel is user-friendly. The charge is in thousands for an annum which good thing. The quality of classroom is too good and WiFi available at all the public places. The library is the biggest part of our college
The quality is excellent of course. The overall experience is really great. The knowledge gain here is unremarkable.

Clubs for music, art, dance, dramatics, robotics, astronomy etc available. Students enjoy bring part of them. Magazine groups also get common, and people are active and enthusiastic about it. Class timing varies but they hey over by 6 pm every day except on Wednesday on which it gets over at 4 pm. But there is enough free time available You can go play sports in the evening, do yoga, jog etc. Or you can join cultural and hobbies clubs Quality of teaching is decent. Professors are experienced. Overall experience is quite nice
Fees around 3 lakh per year for general and OBC. Around 1 lakh for SC/ST ( even less if you're parents income is less than 4.5 lakh. Scholarships available INSPIRE/MCM etc. Around 60% of the students get scholarships. Loan not needed since the fees is very less, but facilities available within campus
Microsoft, PayPal, Amazon, Facebook, Google etc top companies come here for job offers. Average package around 10-12 lakhs per annum, though the highest can go up to crores. Jobs for both core sector ( mechanical, civil, electronics engineering ) and others like coding, design, architecture available. Alumni network is very strong. We have alumni everywhere in the world in top companies.
Entrance through JEE advanced, to be given after JEE mains. Eligibility 12+ and not exceeding two years after 12th. Typical cutoffs for CSE - 600-700 AIR in JEE advanced.
Teachers are responsive and really helpful if you are interested. However, there may be one or two exceptions but overall quality is best. They are well-qualified and have done several pieces of research not only in India but in foreign too. Teaching methodology is nice some teachers teach through powerpoint while some prefer writing on board. Classes usually start at 8:00 am and ends up at 6:00 pm with several breaks in between. Life is busy and you won't get how time passes.
The annual fee for undergraduate courses at IITs has been hiked from Rs 90,000(INR) to Rs 2.0(INR) lakhs (tuition fees) from the upcoming academic session.There would also be a full fee waiver for SC/ST, differently abled students and those whose annual family income is less than Rs1 (INR) lakh(INR). Also, two-thirds of the annual tuition fee would be waived for students with annual family income up to Rs5 lakh. The student can get easy loans. Besides, that one can get a scholarship of different types like CSSS, heritage awards. Many scholarships are started by alumni of different batches. There are also several awards provides for the best sportsperson, artist etc.
80% students are placed. This year, the highest package was 1.39 crore (INR) in rupees bagged by three students from Microsoft. If C.G.P.A is maintained there is no need to worry. Internships are also available in abundance with the nice stipend. I am currently in second year interning at R&D, IDT ONGC Dehradun.

The infrastructure of the institute is nice. It has many hostels which aim to provide accommodation to all the students enrolled in the institute. There are many PGs also available for people who wish to live outside the college.
The daily routine comprises of lectures, tutorials, and practicals related to the courses in which a student has registered. The quality of academics is very good. And the overall experience is overwhelming.
Ample of student loans are available for the payment of the fee by the student. The institute also features many scholarships aimed to help the students with not so good financial backgrounds.
The institute has a vast alumni network. It also has some societies like alumni relations cell which help the current students to connect with the alumni of the institute and have their issues resolved.
To take an admission at IIT Roorkee, a student must qualify the JEE MAIN and Advance. After the results, the seats are allotted through the national counseling conducted by JOSAA. As for the cutoffs, they change every year so predicting cutoffs is baseless.
