Placements and Internships
- I haven't done any internship but from here students get much internships at Google & other national and international compnies. Some of students get research intern at many universities across the globe.
- Many compnies like Facebook , Google , L & T , Texas Instruments etc. hire students from campus.
- Average salary figure is around Rs 13-14 Lacs per annum And highest packages goes into crores. The placements depends upon branch. Top branches like CSE , ECE , EE get almost 90% placements whether lower branch stundets get almost 60-70% placements.
- Alumni network is also good at college.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 16 boys hostels , 2 girls hostels and 1 married hostel in campus. Hostels are nice & Fee is arond 4,000 INR per month.
- Food is not good at college mess but it costs us arond 60 INR per meal.
- Quality of Infrastructure is too good at campus.
Academics and Faculty
- Routine life at college is not that easy. You've to attend so many lectures , tutorial classes , labs etc.
- If we talk about quality and method of teaching then that's also not very good but at this level we've to understand that self study is most importent aspect of study.
- So overall experience is nice at college.
Fees and Scholarships
- Our fee is around 1,50,000 INR per year.
- There are merit cum means scholarships which are given to the students whosw family income is less than 4,50,000 INR.
- Almost 25% students get this scholarship. If your family income is slightly greater than 4,50,000 INR then you are ineligible for scholarship & Fee is much high so yeah.
- Loans are needed. & they are easily available from any nationalised bank.
Clubs and Associations
- There are 2 UG clubs and 1 PG club in campus where you can play pool , snooker , carrom , foosball etc.
- There are too many fests at college. Thomso as Cultural fest , Cognizance as Tech fest , Sangram as Sports fest held every year at college.
- So finally Life at college is too good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The exam is IIT JEE is the entrance exam. admission is based on your all India rank. the cut off rank for the general was around 2500
Clubs & Associations : Here at IIT Roorkee there are many student societies & groups...& we are free to choose any of those groups...but to be a member of the group we need to qualify the entrance exams along with the PIThere is one main cultural fest of IIT Roorkee one Technical fest & one sports fest along with a number of small fests of IIT Roorkee hard ,really hard!

Academics & Faculty : First of all, everybody would love to start their day with jogging in the LBS Stadium. Our class schedule is a little liberal, yet messy. Somedays you will only have 3 hours of classes, and other days you might have to contribute 8 hours of your day. Half of that time is alloted to practical classes. Professors are geniuses but the only flaw is that they do not know how to teach a class. You can go by yourself to them and they will explain it to you in the easiest way possible, but this endeavour you will have to take on your own. But the overall experience is good because of all the people that you meet here and the platform that you get.

Academics & Faculty : The daily routine is very manageable and the schedule provides adequate time for the students to pursue their interests and extra-cirriculars. The quality of teaching is superb with highly qualified professors clearing all doubts and queries and making the concepts clearer altogether. This time is the best tie of my life thanks to the college experience.
