Introduction to B.A. (Bachelor of Arts)

A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is an undergraduate course in either liberal arts, sciences, or both. It is a course of 3-years. It contains many expressive disciplines and it includes various subject combinations to choose from. These subjects include Liberal Arts, Science or both and this combination varies from college to college. This degree enhances communication skills, Research, and analytical skills.

Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2  or High School Secondary exam by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) or equivalent exam conducted by a recognized board.

  • 50% aggregate at 10+2 level.

  • The subject at HSC – English

  • There is a provision for 5% relaxation for SC/ST

Syllabus brief

  • There will be a combination of 5 subjects.

  • These subjects will be related to Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Out of 5, there will be 2 language papers.

  • The second year, students are open to select their major subject hence there is an option for selecting the Bachelor of Arts with a major or Bachelor of Arts general/Pass
