University of Kalyani admissions process recognizes both entry and merit-based admissions. Due to the recent pandemic, KU has eliminated the written entrance exam for practically all programs. Between June and August, the university's admissions window for honors and ordinary programs opens. It conducts separate entrance tests, interviews, and group discussions to evaluate some of the courses and admittance to others is solely dependent on merit in the qualifying examination.
