Mr. Thangal Kunju Musaliar was a great visionary, educationist and philanthropist who walked ahead of his time. He was very much concerned about the various sections of the society who were educationally and culturally backward in general and particularly the members of the Muslim community who were backward in education and without proper and adequate facilities for education. Though he had only primary education he was convinced of the fact that education is an essential input for any development and no progress can be achieved without proper and quality education. The long-cherished dream was fulfilled by the establishment of the TKM College of Engineering in the year 1958. This program imbibes in the students, the various skills and the knowledge required to grow in innovation in the various industries. The candidates are admitted to M.Tech programs through the valid GATE score with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The members of Associate Members of the Institute of Engineers (AIME) are admitted directly on merit basis with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Students have to pay M.Tech and M.Arch degrees have a total fee of INR 20,000 per annum and MCA has a fee of INR 10,500 per annum for the 2-year course.

In addition to B.Tech and M.Tech courses, Thangal Kunju Musaliar College Of Engineering offers Ph.D. programs to pioneer the evolution of novel design and solution for a social cause. The college offers a Ph.D. program in Civil engineering. Selection is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination with valid GATE, NET or equivalent entrance score. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test followed by a personal interview. Candidate needs a minimum 50% marks collectively in the written test, entrance test, qualifying examination and personal interview for the final seat confirmation. The candidate should have passed a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology/ equivalent or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with exceptionally good academic record or a Master’s degree in Sciences from a recognized university. Selection is done on the basis of valid GATE score equivalent fellowship followed by Written Test and personal interview.
The college also offers MCA as a postgraduate course for interested students. The basic eligibility for MCA is a B.Sc or B.Com degree with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 60% marks. The date for the NATA exam is 29 Apr 2021.

The eligibility criteria The candidate should pass in 12th with 60 % of the mark in main subjects like physics, chemistry, and maths. To get an admission in this reputed college we should pass the entrance examination with good percentage, if we have a low percentage in entrance examination it will be difficult to get admission here. The entrance examination which I took was Kerala entrance examination and I got good rank so I get easier to get the required stream. The difficult stream to get in this institution is mechanical, civil, electrical and electronics.
The students should pass +2 or equivalent and qualify NATA entrance exam for B.Arch aspirants. I took NATA entrance examination and get qualified. The cut-off marks for NATA to qualify is 70 marks. A student should gain marks above this cut-off marks to get admitted to this course in colleges in India.
The eligibility criteria were based on the Kerala entrance ranking. For bachelor of architecture, we had to pass the NATA exam. We should acquire a cut off of 80 out of 200. On the basis of our score, Kerala ranking will be listed out.
Eligibility criteria is scoring above 1000 rank in Kerala engineering entrance examination.the entrance examination is Kerala engineering and agricultural examination ( keam). Cut off depends on the exam difficulty level.
