General Requirements for Postgraduate and Doctoral Admissions 2021

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Courses

B.Tech 

• The candidates who are interested in taking admissions for B.Tech course at IIT Palakkad should have completed 10+2 from a recognised board.

• Applicant should have a valid score in Joint Entrance Examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Courses

M.Sc

Applicants should have completed B.Sc or equivalent in relevant discipline from a recognised university to take admission for M.Sc course at IIT Palakkad.

M.Tech

• Candidates who are interested in taking admissions for M.Tech degree at Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad must have completed B.Tech or equivalent degree from a recognised university.

• Applicant should have a valid GATE score.

Eligibility Criteria for Doctoral Programmes

Master of Science (MS)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Master’s degree in Science of a recognised Institute or University in the discipline as prescribed in the regulations of the Senate is the eligibility criteria for candidates to apply for the Master of Science (MS) by Research at IIT Palakkad.

• Every scholar joining for the MS program at Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad will be monitored by a General Test Committee (GTC) constituted as per the MS regulations.

Ph.D

• Applicants with a Master's degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university can apply for Ph.D programme at Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad.

• Candidate should have a valid score in the GATE entrance exam to get admissions for Ph.D programme at IIT Palakkad.
