School of Open Learning [SOL] was established in the year 1962. It is a part of the Campus of Open Learning and was previously known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education. The institute was established by the University of Delhi. DU SOL has grown up to be a pioneer Institution in the field of Distance Education in India, it has 2 campuses functioning in the North and South of Delhi.

School of Open Learning Eligibility Criteria

School of Open Learning, Delhi University aspirants prior to admissions must go through the eligibility criteria prescribed for each course, only then they can get admissions for the School. The Eligibility criteria for the various courses can be found below: 

B.Com Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have 55% (49.5% - OBC; Min Passing marks - SC/ST) marks or above in aggregate in any qualifying exam. 
  • Candidate should have 60% (54% - OBC; Min passing marks - SC/ST) in Vocational stream in the qualifying exam.

M.Com Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have B.Com. (Hons.) degree from Delhi University or Universities other than Delhi University recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks.

MA Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates must have completed their undergraduate courses in the fields relating to the specialization applying for, securing a minimum of 55% aggregate, in order to be eligible to apply.

School of Open Learning Cut Off

School of Open Learning has implemented online module for their students when promoted to the next year of study. The students can download their Demand Letter cum Examination Form having details like their Name, SOL Roll No., Enrolment No., Marks obtained in each subjects, Examination Fees, last date of submission of Examination Form and submit the same through Online and Offline mode. The payment can be made via Online as well. 

School of Open Learning Result

School of Open Learning has announced the results for various courses and annual examination OBE June of final year result 1st year, on the official website at sol.du.ac.in. Students can access their SOL DU result 2024 by logging into the University online portal and entering the credentials. The university also implements a chance for revaluation/rechecking of answer scripts and DU SOL marksheets within 2-3 weeks of results announcement.

School of Open Learning Infrastructure in the North and South campus is great and it caters to the need of students. School of Open Learning Placement

School of Open Learning Placement is carried out in its dedicated placement cell. Interaction of students with the recruiters is possible with a placement cell. Frequent placement drives are carried out to help the students. 300 of the 2000 students participated are placed in the companies. Placement drives are held in collaboration with many organizations like Dalmia and Axis Bank. In 2020, DU SOL's highest package offered was 42 LPA and the average package was 30 - 40 LPA.
