The University of Delhi or Delhi University (DU) is a public University, located in Delhi which was established back in 1922 but has since grown to be one of the largest universities in India with 90 colleges and 16 faculties affiliated to the University. One of its constituent colleges in the School of Open Learning (SOL)
The School of Open Learning was established in 1962 and is a pioneer in the distance education field in India. It has also become one of the largest educational institutions in the country with around 5 lakh students. A degree from SOL has the same value as that of a regular college in Delhi University.
DU SOL conducts examinations in the annual mode. The exam time is in the month of May/June and Nov/Dec. The results for the May/June exams come out by August and the results for the Nov/Dec come out by February. The University publishes the results on its official website. Students have to check the University’s official website to get updated as soon as the results get updated. After the results get posted, the University will issue mark sheets and certificates to the students, which they can collect from the college office. Students can apply for rechecking of their answer script if they’re confused about the marks they get. Students must pass in both, theory and practicals to pass the subject.
Delhi University, School of Distance Education (SOL) conducts Term End Examination in the month of April. But, DU SOL Exams has been postponed due to Global Coronavirus Pandemic for the Academic year 2021. The result of all the upcoming exams will be declared in the month of September 2021 (Tentatively).

SOL offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) which is a 3 years UG course that comes under the discipline of humanities/arts. The course is divided equally into 6 semesters. The result of the upcoming exams will be declared in the month of October 2021 (Tentatively).
The results of the BA course come out on the University’s official website along with the other courses, and students should regularly check the official website to get updated as soon as the results get published.
The step by step procedure of how to check the results are given below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of School of Open Learning
Step 2: On the official page, click on ‘Students’ dropdown and then click on ‘Mark sheet/Result’ from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: On the newly opened results page, select your course, year of exam, and the part.
Step 4: Provide your SOL Roll number and Exam roll number and click on ‘Show’
Step 5: Then your results will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: You can download the results for any future reference.
For the candidates who are not satisfied with their marks, the University provides an option for rechecking and revaluation. To apply students have to submit the application and the prescribed fees within the last due date. Only the eligible students can apply. The revaluation/rechecking is allowed only for the theory paper. The result will be made available in the tabulated form in the office of the School. After the declaration of the result, the University will also release the DU SOL mark sheet. By using the SOL roll number and exam roll number students can download their DU SOL mark sheet 2020.
