Founded in the year 2006 by Hon’ble President Shri Tapan Kumar Pobi, Sanaka Educational Trust, Durgapur is famous for building all ranges of educational institutions including kindergarten school to Post Doctoral programs. First Institution which was established by this trust is the Institute of Engineering & Industrial Technology (now known as Sanaka Educational Trust's Group of Institutions, Durgapur) in 2008. Sanaka Educational Trust Campus is spread in 34 acres in the heart of Durgapur; a city located in Eastern Region popularly known as Industrial City, well connected by airport, road, and railways. B.Arch, B.Tech, and Diploma courses are offered in this Institute. Sanaka Educational Trust's Group of Institutions has further three departments Institute of Engineering & Industrial Technology (IEIT), Rani Rashmoni School of Architecture (RRSA) and Swami Vivekananda School of Diploma.

Interested aspirants can apply online adding the required information. For B.Arch, Admission is through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) counselling organized by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) based on the marks secured in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or rank obtained in paper 2 of Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains). For B.Tech, 90% of seats are filled through counselling organized by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board based on the rank obtained in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE).
Remaining 10% seats are filled through counselling conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board based on the rank obtained Joint Entrance Exam mains (JEE Mains).

For Management quota candidates: Admission is based on the rank obtained in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Exam mains (JEE Mains). For Diploma, Admission is through counselling of West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) based on the rank obtained in Joint Entrance Examination-Polytechnic (JEXPO).
