IQ City Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IIPS), also known as IIPS, is a private institute established under the aegis of the IQ City Foundation. Located in Durgapur, West Bengal, the IIPS campus is housed within a 100-acre lush green Health and Knowledge Campus. The institute is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) for B.Pharm and the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal for D.Pharm. It is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

While NIRF rankings are not currently available, IIPS is widely regarded as one of the leading pharmacy institutions in Eastern India. The institute is part of the larger IQ City Education ecosystem, which includes programs in Medical, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and Pharmacy.

IIPS offers Undergraduate and Diploma programs in the Pharmaceutical Sciences stream. B.Pharm and D.Pharm are the two key courses offered. Admissions at IIPS are based on entrance examination and merit in the qualifying examination.

IIPS fosters a holistic learning environment by providing students with access to a 1200-bedded in-house hospital, hands-on ADR monitoring programs, an animal house approved by CCSEA, and clinical trial training in collaboration with IQ City Medical College.

In 2024, the institute hosted a National Conference on Pharmacy Practices and Medication Safety, attended by academic leaders and industry experts nationwide. Students also actively participate in celebrations like National Pharmacy Week, Pharmacist Day, National Pharmacovigilance Week, as well as sports and cultural fests.

IQ City Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Admission 2025

IQ City Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IIPS) admissions are based on merit in the qualifying examination (for D.Pharm) and entrance exam scores followed by counseling (for B.Pharm). Candidates must meet eligibility criteria and complete the required processes set by WBUHS and SMFWB.

Entrance-Based Admission

• B.Pharm: Candidates must appear for the entrance examination conducted by WBUHS and participate in the centralized counseling process for seat allotment.

Merit-Based Admission

• D.Pharm: Admission is based on marks secured in the qualifying examination (10+2). Final selection is as per guidelines of the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB).
