NSIT or Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, was established in the year 1983, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources Development [MHRD], Government of India, to establish a new engineering college by the name of Delhi Institute of Technology [DIT]. The University was formerly known as Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. NSIT offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in engineering and management. The admissions are based on national-level exams such as JEE Mains, GATE, CAT and UGC-NET. The admission for PhD 2023-2024 is ongoing. 

The government of NCT Delhi recognizes NSIT. It was ranked 6th by the latest DataQuest-CMR T-School survey of 2015. The survey ranked the top 25 government T-Schools of India across various categories and calculated a composite score of 100 for each institute. NSIT has a 145-acre campus and all the latest amenities. NSIT offers excellent placements, in 2021, the highest package offered was INR 12 LPA and the average package offered was INR 9 LPA.

NSIT Admission

NSIT admission can be made through the official website of the college. NSIT offers admission to BTech, BE, BBA, MTech, MBA and  PhD. NSIT provides admission through marks obtained in JEE mains, GATE, JAC [Joint Admission Counseling], DASA [Direct Admission of Students Board], or through PMSSS [Prime Minister Special Scholarship Schemes].The final selection of the candidates for the sponsored [full-time] and the selection committee shall make the part-time course based on their performance at the qualifying examination, written test, and interview. The intake of students to these postgraduate programs is 23 in each department.

BTech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have scored at least 55% aggregate in 10+2, from any recognized college or school.

NSIT Scholarship

NSIT offers scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students. Under the Chhatra Vittiya Sahayta Evam Protsahan Kosh (CVSPK) program, the grants and incentives provided under the program are listed below.

Scholarship	Description
Talent Incentive Scheme	Fee waivers awarded to 5 students all BTech departments having a JEE (Main) rank up to 2000, taking admission in the first year. Fee waivers are awarded to 2 students of each department seeking admission to M.Tech Course in NSIT and having a rank within top 1000 in the relevant branch of specialization in the GATE examination. UPSC rank holders are awarded INR 1 Lakh-2 Lakh depending on rank.
Financial Assistance Scheme	A 100% tuition fee waiver awarded to students with family income less than 2 LPA. A 50% tuition fee waiver is awarded to students with family income between 2-4 LPA. A 25% tuition fee waiver is awarded to students with family income between 4-6 LPA. A 10% tuition fee waiver is awarded to students with family income between 6-8 LPA.
Fee reimbursement/ waiver in cases of Death of earning parents	Financial Assistance is provided to students in case of death of sole earning member based on the income.
