Full-Time PGDM Programmes:

The two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management is the most prestigious course offered by LIBA. The course is of a total of 135 credits. It also includes a summer project and workshops. Over six terms of study students gain a comprehensive perspective of management discipline and a broad outlook of the corporate environment. The second year of study is dedicated to core business courses and electives in areas of specialization. Students are required to choose 6 subjects from Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Systems, and Business Analytics, apart from required coursework.

Part-Time PGDM Programmes:

This is a three-year program that is beneficial for candidates who are already employed. Professionals who wish to acquire knowledge and enhance their competence can choose to do this course to improve their career options and professional growth. This program has received AICTE approval. The LIBA part-time MBA has also received recognition from the corporate sector and the Government of India for employment purposes.

Ph.D. Programmes:

With the affiliation of the University of Madras, LIBA started its Ph.D. program in 2005. Since then, it has evolved into a major instrument for research in the University.

Executive PG Diploma & Certificate Programmes:

The executive PG Diploma is a part-time course of a one-year duration. It is offered in various areas of management. The certificate courses are of short duration. They are designed to add more value and to enable the growth of working professionals or candidates.

Executive Education:

The Management Development Center (MDC) of LIBA partners with businesses to train their executives. LIBA faculty works closely with the top-level management of the company to develop programmes that are tailor-fit to the needs of the organization. This program is designed with the objective of developing a robust leadership pipeline. 

LIBA Placement Highlights:

The college aims to get its students placed in reputed companies. The LIBA placement cell conducts summer, lateral, and final placements. The college boasts of 100% placement since its inception. The summer placements are the internships offered to the students. The students who have work experience of more than 18 months can attend the lateral placements conducted by the college. It spans over a week. The final placement is where a large number of companies visit the campus for recruitment purposes.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Procedure


LIBA Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria to be fulfilled to get admission at LIBA Chennai is as mentioned below.

Loyola Institute of Business Administration Admissions:

The candidates have to apply online on the college website. The CAT or XAT ID should also be mentioned at the time of registration. The application fee of INR 1500 has to be paid online. The candidates having more than two arrears in graduation need not apply for admission. The selection is purely based on the XAT or CAT score. The selected candidates will be called for a group discussion which will be followed by an interview. The GD and interview will be held in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Loyola Institute of Business Administration Cutoff:

The LIBA cutoffs depend on CAT and XAT exams. The LIBA cutoff is different for general quota and for Catholics. 

General Quota:

The scores to be achieved by the general category students to be shortlisted by the college for group discussion and interview is as mentioned below.

CAT: In Verbal and Reading Comprehension the students must score 22.40 percentile. For Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning part, they must score 55.42 percentile and in Quantitative ability, they must score 44.29 percentile. In total, the candidate should have a minimum of 80%.

XAT: The student must score a minimum of 59.87 percentile in Verbal Ability. In Quantitative Ability, they must score 56.51 percentile and in Reasoning & Decision Making it must be a score of 32.77 percentile. In total it must be a minimum of 75 percentile.

Catholics:

The scores to be achieved by the catholic students to be shortlisted by the college for group discussion and interview is as mentioned below.

CAT: In Verbal & Reading Comprehension the students must score 34.77 percentile. For Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning part, they must score 34.21 percentile and in Quantitative ability, they must score 28.44 percentile. In total, the candidate should have a minimum of 60%.

XAT:  The student must score a minimum of 19 percentile in Verbal Ability. In Quantitative Ability, they must score 20 percentile and in Reasoning & Decision Making it must be a score of 22.21 percentile. In total it must be a minimum of 50 percentile.
